About Compyl

Compyl is a fast-growing cybersecurity SaaS company redefining the GRC space and transforming how businesses approach governance, risk, and compliance. We serve mid-market and enterprise customers that demand operational excellence, continuous compliance, and real-time visibility into their risk landscape.

Backed by top-tier investors and scaling rapidly, we're on a mission to make security effortless. Joining Compyl means stepping into a forward-thinking, fast-paced environment where your work directly fuels our momentum. If you're passionate about building impactful technology and want to grow with a company shaping the future of GRC, we'd love to have you on board.

The Role

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to help drive Compyl's brand presence, demand generation, and content strategy, with a meaningful product marketing component. In this role, you'll wear multiple hats, planning and executing campaigns, producing content, supporting product positioning and launches, and partnering closely with Sales and Product to ensure our go-to-market efforts are aligned and effective. This is a great fit for a marketer who enjoys variety, moves fast, and wants ownership over meaningful projects in a startup environment.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across email, digital, social, and events to drive pipeline and brand awareness.

  • Own content creation and calendar management, including blog posts, case studies, website copy, and sales enablement materials.

  • Partner with Sales to align messaging, support campaigns with qualified leads, and track marketing-sourced pipeline contribution.

  • Manage and optimize paid and organic digital channels (SEO, paid social, search) in coordination with agency or freelance support as needed.

  • Coordinate webinars, virtual events, and industry conference presence, including logistics and promotion.

  • Track, analyze, and report on campaign performance and marketing KPIs, using data to inform strategy.

  • Maintain brand consistency across all customer-facing materials and channels.

  • Support product marketing efforts, including messaging, positioning, competitive research, and go-to-market plans for new features or product launches, in collaboration with Product and leadership.

  • Manage marketing tools and platforms (e.g., HubSpot, or similar marketing automation/CRM tools).

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS; cybersecurity, compliance, or GRC experience a plus.

  • Strong writing and content development skills, with a portfolio of campaigns or content you've owned end-to-end.

  • Experience supporting field programs and events that drive pipeline while strengthening Compyl’s brand with security leaders.

  • Some exposure to product marketing (positioning, messaging, launches, or competitive analysis) a plus.

  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (HubSpot preferred).

  • Comfort working across multiple channels and priorities in a fast-paced, resource-lean environment.

  • Data-driven mindset with experience tracking and reporting on campaign performance.

  • Self-starter who can operate independently while collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and leadership.

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Why Join Us

  • Competitive salary and performance-based bonus structure

  • Meaningful equity in a fast-growing company

  • Remote-first culture with flexible PTO

  • Access to a highly supportive, execution-focused leadership team

  • Opportunity to shape the growth and foundation of a high-impact SaaS brand

  • A team that values collaboration, accountability, and transparency

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
