What you will do

As the Marketing Manager for Strategic Accounts, you will lead the planning and execution of targeted marketing programs that drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across industries such as healthcare, data centers, commercial real estate, industrial, retail, hospitality, and government. In this role, you will partner closely with sales, service, and portfolio leaders to deliver impactful campaigns and compelling, industry-specific content that resonates with customers throughout the buying journey. Your work will fuel demand generation, accelerate strategic account growth, and strengthen Johnson Controls’ position as a trusted solutions provider within these vertical markets.

How you will do it

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns for key verticals in alignment with sales and business objectives.

  • Build and maintain deep understanding of vertical buyer personas, industry trends, and market dynamics to inform messaging and content strategy.

  • Create compelling industry-specific marketing assets and programs (e.g., thought leadership, case studies, webinars, solution sheets).

  • Partner with vertical sales leaders and product/portfolio teams to ensure go-to-market alignment.

  • Support Strategic Accounts Sales team with vertical-specific toolkits, sales enablement, and campaign execution support.

  • Apply deep understanding of digital marketing systems and tools, leveraging marketing automation, CRM, and CMS platforms to execute campaigns and track ROI across the funnel.

  • Track and analyze campaign performance and pipeline impact; optimize programs based on results and feedback.

  • Participates in sales efforts and has direct customer contact. Collects, consolidates, and prioritizes VOC and sales feedback and incorporates into marketing programs that support our growth strategies.

  • Collaborate with digital, brand, and events teams to amplify reach and influence across channels.

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably with a focus on vertical markets and/or strategic/enterprise accounts.

  • Strong grasp of integrated campaign planning and execution, including audience segmentation, persona-based messaging, and multi-channel delivery strategies.

  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, and ABM platforms; familiarity with tools such as Salesforce, Eloqua, and 6sense preferred.

  • Proven ability to distill complex offerings into clear, compelling messaging tailored to specific industries.

  • Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with sales, product, and marketing teams.

  • Highly organized self-starter with strong project management and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience managing or collaborating with external agencies and vendors to support campaign development, content creation, or program execution.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100.000 – 135,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
