Gupta Media was founded 20 years ago on the idea that advertising could create huge leverage in our client's business. Our early work was focused on the entertainment industry, specifically live events (Boston Calling, among others) and recorded music (Sony Music, Universal Music & Disney are all clients). We have dramatically grown our work with big brands and subscription services (Amazon, Fender) and sports franchises (LA Galaxy, Washington Commanders). We have a global client base with a growing local roster across B2B and B2C brands across campaign, content and branding assignments.

We’re looking for a Marketing Data Analyst II to join our Strategy & Analytics team—someone who brings a blend of marketing savvy and technical fluency, thrives on solving ambiguous business problems, and knows how to connect the dots between performance data and strategy. This role sits at the intersection of analytics, advertising, and client services.

What You’ll Do

Analytics Infrastructure & Tracking

  • Implement and troubleshoot web and campaign tracking using Google Tag Manager, GA4, and custom conversion setups across platforms like Shopify, ticketing systems, and CRMs.
  • Ensure accurate event tracking and attribution to support campaign insights.

Data Strategy & Modeling

  • Build models that empower strategic decision-making, including forecasting tools to guide daily budget pacing, conversion rate benchmarks, and ROAS expectations.
  • Translate business objectives into measurable KPIs and reporting frameworks.

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop scalable reports and dashboards using tools like Looker Studio, Excel, and Google Sheets.
  • Write complex SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze large datasets.
  • Integrate data from marketing APIs, ad platforms, and CRM systems into clean, usable formats.

Client-Facing Insights

  • Present complex ideas and insights clearly and confidently to both clients and internal stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
  • Help shape media strategy by translating campaign performance into actionable recommendations.
  • Work across brand and agency stakeholders to align on goals, test strategies, and optimize spend.

Who You Are

  • You have 2+ years of experience working with marketing or advertising data, ideally in a fast-paced agency or brand environment with a strong performance marketing focus
  • You’ve got a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field
  • You know your way around GTM, GA4, and CRMs, and can spot tracking issues before anyone else
  • You’re fluent in SQL and can comfortably wrangle data from multiple sources (BigQuery experience is a plus)
  • You’ve worked directly with marketing APIs and understand advertising metrics like LTV, CAC, ROAS, and incrementality
  • You have strong instincts around budget pacing, daily bidding decisions, and conversion rate optimization
  • You’re comfortable working in ambiguous problem spaces and love turning data into clarity

At Gupta Media, we work hard every day to be better at all that we do — and that includes fostering a diverse and inclusive community that encourages and respects a broad range of backgrounds, experiences and ideas. Join us and help us find the next great idea.
