What Will You Do:
Connectivity Deployment & Integration
- Coordinate installation of connectivity hardware at allied vendor manufacturing facilities and retrofit locations
- Partner with CAT technology/telematics teams to ensure compatibility, standards adherence, and data flow integrity
- Develop and execute rollout plans for new allied equipment models
- Troubleshoot installation issues and ensure timely resolution across vendors and internal teams
Vendor Engagement & Factory Coordination
- Establish working relationships with allied OEMs and key supplier contacts
- Define and standardize installation processes, bill-of-material (BOM) requirements, and quality expectations
- Conduct factory visits and onsite support to ensure successful hardware integration
- Drive adoption of connectivity standards among allied vendors
- 3. Rental Connectivity Enablement
- Ensure connectivity readiness for fleet onboarding into rental systems
- Support integration of telematics data into rental platforms and customer-facing tools
- Partner with rental operations teams to ensure seamless activation and commissioning workflows
- Monitor connectivity performance, uptime, and data quality
Program & Process Development
- Build scalable processes for deployment, tracking, and lifecycle management of connectivity hardware
- Maintain documentation, installation guides, and SOPs for internal and external stakeholders
- Identify continuous improvement opportunities in deployment efficiency and vendor execution
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as a liaison between:
- Vendors
- CAT digital/technology teams
- Rental operations
- Supply chain and procurement
- Align stakeholders on timelines, priorities, and issue resolution
- Communicate status, risks, and performance metrics to leadership
Issue Resolution & Support
- Lead root cause analysis for connectivity failures or data issues
- Coordinate corrective actions across vendors and internal engineering teams
- Provide escalation support for critical deployments or fleet disruptions
What Will You Have:
Technical / Functional
- Understanding of telematics, IoT devices, or fleet connectivity systems
- Familiarity with hardware installation, wiring, and basic diagnostics (off-highway or heavy equipment preferred)
- Knowledge of data integration concepts (APIs, fleet management systems, or telematics platforms)
- Ability to interpret technical documentation and collaborate with engineers
Program & Execution
- Strong project management capabilities (multi-site deployment coordination)
- Process development and standardization mindset
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent vendor engagements and timelines
- Detail-oriented execution with a focus on scalability and repeatability
Relationship Management
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with external vendors and OEM partners
- Experience influencing without direct authority
- Strong stakeholder management across technical and operational teams
- Comfortable working across organizational boundaries and differing priorities
- Communication
- Clear communicator with ability to translate technical concepts into business terms
- Strong written documentation skills (SOPs, requirements, vendor guidelines)
- Effective in leading meetings, driving alignment, and resolving conflicts

- Field service or product support in heavy equipment / industrial environment
- Demonstrated experience working with external vendors or manufacturers
- Experience in cross-functional project delivery (technology + operations)
- Background in heavy equipment, construction, rental, or industrial machinery sectors
- Experience with factory-level integration or OEM product support
- Familiarity with telematics ecosystems
- Experience deploying hardware at scale across multiple sites or partners
