The Role and Responsibilities
- About: Serve as a liaison to align communication efforts across teams while ensuring employees feel supported as their workplace evolves.
- Client services: Support alignment calls, project update discussions, email response, etc. with the ability to recognize corporate communications review and/or participation.
- Media relations: Using an understanding of the media landscape, ensure statements, spokespeople, internal emails, etc. are aligned to pre-approved key messaging.
- Copywriting: Review materials, statements, publicly submitted materials, etc. through the lens of brand voice and reputation management.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field, with a focus on media relations and issues management or brand reputation communications. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a large corporation, with a preference in tech.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Media Relations Expertise: Proven experience in managing media relations, including drafting press releases, handling media inquiries, and preparing spokespeople for interviews.
- Copywriting and Editing: Strong copywriting and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to maintain brand voice and reputation.
- Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to think strategically and align communication efforts with organizational goals.
- Crisis Management: Experience in crisis communication and the ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and discretion.
- Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with communication tools and platforms.
- The pay range offered for this position is $82,000 - 85,000 per year, depending on experience and geographic location.
