Summary of roleAs the Global Marketing Communications Leader, you will be responsible for developing and executing integrated communication strategies that elevate our brand, engaging audiences across multiple markets and regions. You’ll lead a team of talented communicators and collaborate closely with digital and regional marketing teams to ensure consistency and excellence in messaging.
The role reports into the Head of Brand, Nidec Motion & Energy, and is pivotal in the development of the brand and communications strategy and must have the ability to inspire and engage people inside and outside the organization with the Nidec story. The role has a global remit, working in partnership with brand and marketing colleagues across Nidec, developing and disseminating best practice in terms of brand and communications management.
Specific job responsibilities- Develop and implement global marketing communications strategies aligned with brand and business goals.
- Lead the creation of compelling content across channels (web, social, email, PR, events).
- Build and manage social media messaging for senior executives, ensuring alignment with brand voice and strategic priorities.
- Collaborate with a globally distributed team of brand managers to ensure consistent messaging and campaign execution across regions.
- Manage agency relationships and oversee campaign execution.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to support product marketing, thought leadership, and executive communications.
- Ensure brand consistency and tone of voice across all touchpoints.
- Monitor performance metrics and optimize communications based on insights.
- Develop and provide brand training to new employees, business partners and other relevant parties when required.
- Ensure correct application of the brand at official business partners of Nidec, educating them on the needs to maintain brand standards.
- Derivation and monitoring of brand performance KPIs and critical success factors
- Be an ambassador and brand champion throughout the organisation
- As part of an international team, you will be required to attend online meetings outside of regular core hours.
- Educated to degree level or above in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or similar
- 3+ years’ experience as a Senior Marketing/Brand Manager with demonstrable experience in marketing communications leadership, ideally in a global or multi-market context.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong strategic thinking and project management abilities.
- Experience managing teams and external partners.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence at all levels.
- Background in B2B marketing within a global organization.
- Experience crafting social media content for senior executives.
- Familiarity with digital marketing tools and analytics platforms.
- Experience working across cultures is a plus.
- Occasional regional and international travel will be required.
