As a Data Scientist Lead, with the Consumer Bank Marketing Analytics team you will be responsible for measuring the effectiveness and driving the strategy of Chase's Consumer Bank marketing campaigns and focus on supporting the Public Offers Program, analyzing performance and informing optimal strategy for prospecting marketing campaigns that drive customer acquisition, relationship deepening, and long-term value for the Consumer Bank.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the analytics strategy, planning and execution for Refer a Friend Program marketing campaigns
- Provide leadership and mentorship to junior data scientists across CB Marketing Analytics organization as a subject matter expert for referral program performance and customer referral behaviors
- Consult on experimental design, data collection, and develop new strategies in collaboration with stakeholders and other Data & Analytics teams
- Interpret results and present to stakeholders and senior management
- Continuously lead innovation projects to drive more advanced analytics
- Recruit and train talented data professionals from diverse backgrounds and maintain an inclusive team environment across CB Marketing Analytics and CB Test Design teams
Maintain a rigorous controls environment to ensure accurate and timely results
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in a quantitative discipline (Data Science/Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Engineering, Economics, Finance or related fields)
- 5+ years of experience in applying statistical methods to real world problems in Marketing analytics
- 5+ years of experience with SQL and at least one of the following analytical tools: SAS, Python, R (Python preferred)
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or similar AI coding assistants to accelerate analysis and code development
- Experience with visualization techniques for data analysis and presentation, such as Tableau.
- Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics, Adobe/Omniture Insight/Visual Sciences, Webtrends, CoreMetrics, etc.)
Hands-on experience with A/B and incrementality testing methodologies, including experimental design, statistical significance evaluation, and translating test results into business recommendations.
