About the Role

Title: Digital Marketing Analyst 

Reports to: Chief Marketing Officer

Location: Remote US

About the Role

CharterUP is seeking a Digital Marketing Analyst to lead marketing analytics and ensure our campaigns deliver measurable ROI. This hybrid role is weighted heavily toward marketing analytics, with light support for website content.  This individual will be the primary owner of marketing data integrity, reporting, and insights, directly influencing how we allocate spend, optimize channels, and manage our marketing technology stack. They will not only track performance but drive strategic recommendations for the CMO and channel leads, ensuring that dollars are invested in the right places and campaigns are optimized for growth.

As the in-house expert on GA4 and Google Tag Manager, this role will ensure that every marketing touchpoint is tracked correctly, attribution models are reliable, and reporting gives leadership the clarity they need to make smarter decisions.

What You’ll DoMarketing Analytics (85%)
  • Serve as the GA4 expert within the marketing team - owning tracking, reporting, troubleshooting, and ensuring accurate attribution across all domains.
  • Build and maintain dashboards in Looker Studio, Tableau, and Salesforce Data Cloud that not only track KPIs but also provide channel-level insights that influence leadership decisions.
  • Lead the analysis of spend efficiency and ROI across SEO, SEM, email, display, and lifecycle campaigns, advising where to increase, hold, or reduce investment.
  • Proactively identify performance trends, optimization opportunities, and funnel bottlenecks,  ensuring campaigns are measured not just on activity, but on impact.
  • Maintain data quality and attribution accuracy across GA4, GTM, and Salesforce Data Cloud, ensuring leadership can trust all reporting.
  • Partner with the CMO and channel leads to deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly reviews that tie marketing activity directly to business results.
  • Manage integrations and automated workflows using Zapier and related martech tools, ensuring data flows seamlessly between systems.
Website & Content (15%)
  • Update and publish content on the CharterUP WordPress site under the direction of the Web Marketing Manager, including campaign-specific updates and landing pages.
  • Support front-end updates (basic HTML/CSS) and SEO best practices to improve usability and performance.
  • Ensure all content updates are tagged and tracked correctly in GA4 and GTM to maintain funnel visibility.
  • Assist with A/B test setup, implementation, and performance monitoring.
What You’ll Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2 - 4 years of experience in marketing analytics, digital marketing, or marketing operations.
  • Proven ability to influence leadership with data-driven recommendations tied to ROI.
  • Expertise in GA4 (advanced configuration, troubleshooting, multi-domain setup).
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Google Tag Manager (GTM)
    • Looker Studio and Tableau
    • Salesforce Data Cloud
    • Zapier (automation workflows)
  • Familiarity with WordPress content management and basic HTML/CSS.
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills for data manipulation, scenario modeling, and visualization.
  • Strong understanding of marketing funnel metrics, attribution, and channel optimization.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to turn complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
