Resource Innovations is seeking an Market Engagement Consultant (Energy Efficiency Program & Partner Relations Consultant) to join our growing team in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. This role blends relationship-driven outreach with program coordination and project management, supporting the successful delivery of utility energy efficiency programs. In this highly collaborative role, you will serve as a key connector between utility clients, vendors, contractors, internal delivery teams, and program partners. You will focus on building trust-based relationships, onboarding and supporting vendors, advancing projects through clear communication and follow-through, and helping manage program activities from outreach through project closeout.

This position is ideal for someone who excels at people-facing work, enjoys moving projects forward through strong communication and organization, and is comfortable balancing relationship management with operational and program support. Success in this role is measured by performance results, partner satisfaction, forward progress on projects, program participation, and effective collaboration across teams.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key point of contact for vendors, contractors, utility partners, and internal teams, building strong, trust-based relationships that support program participation and success.
  • Support onboarding, training, and ongoing engagement of vendors and contractors, ensuring understanding of program requirements, processes, tools, and incentives.
  • Advance projects through proactive communication, coordination, and follow-up, helping trade allies move from opportunity identification through project completion.
  • Conduct outreach and education efforts, including presentations, trainings, and events, to promote program offerings and increase participation.
  • Assist with the development and distribution of vendor-facing program communications and marketing materials, including program updates, emails, and educational resources.
  • Assist with application support, project tracking, documentation, and issue resolution to keep projects on schedule.
  • Monitor project and program activity, maintain project tracking and databases, and support reporting on participation, performance, and key milestones.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with program management, engineering, outreach, and data teams to support program goals and continuous improvement.
  • Adapt to changing program needs, market conditions, and client priorities while maintaining a high level of customer service and partner satisfaction.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in energy efficiency programs, account management, customer success, outreach, sales support, project coordination, or a related field.
  • Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to advance projects through organization, follow-up, and collaboration rather than authority.
  • Comfort balancing people-facing work with administrative and coordination responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience delivering presentations or trainings.
  • Proficiency with common software tools such as Excel, online application systems, and presentation tools.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in sustainability, clean energy, and making a meaningful environmental impact.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Preferred skills, education and experience

  • Experience with utility energy efficiency programs, demand-side management, lighting, building systems, or construction-related fields.
  • Experience working with subcontractors, community organizations, or utility clients.

Compensation & Benefits

Resource Innovations offers competitive salaries based on a candidate's skills, experience and qualifications for the position.  The compensation range for the base salary for this position is $70k-80k.  In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.  The stated salary represents the expected compensation for this position.  Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's experience, education and location.
