About The Team:

The ITR group sits under Advisory Services (AS) which provides transaction support, bankruptcy and restructuring advisory, valuation, corporate finance advisory, litigation, dispute resolution consulting, and forensic investigation services. AS provides strategic vision and training to Crowe International's Global Corporate Advisors (GCA), comprised of corporate finance professionals from independent Crowe Global member firms. The AS team members collaborate with other Crowe practices on solutions for various industries, from financial institutions to manufacturing. The Market & Business Development Assistant Director is a key strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth, optimizing sales operations, and mentoring a high-performing team at ITR Economics. This role is instrumental in shaping and executing both short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with organizational objectives. The Assistant Director brings deep industry insight, seasoned judgment, and a passion for results, working closely with leadership to enhance client satisfaction and strengthen market presence.

This position requires a high degree of strategic thinking, creativity, and leadership. The Assistant Director will coach and guide the sales team, develop scalable processes, and ensure consistent achievement of departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, coach, and inspire a team of sales professionals to meet performance targets and KPIs.
  • Set ambitious but achievable short- and long-term sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Evaluate and refine current sales programs; implement new tactics to boost productivity and effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities for product or service improvements to enhance client satisfaction and retention.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve interdepartmental issues and support seamless client delivery.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and ensure timely execution of sales initiatives.
  • Deliver performance reviews, set growth plans, and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Design and optimize sales territories, pipelines, and reporting structures using CRM and analytics tools.
  • Track and report on performance metrics, trends, and emerging opportunities to senior leadership.
  • Provide input on departmental budgeting and hiring decisions as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required, advanced degree a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales management experience, ideally in service-based or consultative sales.
  • Demonstrated success in coaching, motivating, and scaling high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Proven expertise in sales planning, territory design, negotiation, and CRM systems.
  • Proficient with reporting tools and able to analyze and act on sales data insights.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; self-directed with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Experience in budgeting, staffing, and managing cross-functional projects.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% annually.

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $108,700.00 - $230,700.00 per year.
