We are seeking an Manufacturing Sustainment Engineer to join Anduril, working in a cutting-edge environment to advance the state-of-the-possible in Imaging Technology. Candidates for this role should have experience in hardware or integrated product development and have ideally worked within all stages of a standard product life cycle. They should be technically inclined with strong problem solving skills, and able to comfortably understand core engineering design and manufacturing principles. The right individual needs to be excited about the prospects of working on a growing team and will be expected to contribute to internal product sustainment activities within the functional Engineering Group.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Support products transitioning to and currently in production
- Work with the manufacturing and R&D engineering teams to implement incremental product improvements to increase reliability and manufacturability, and to decrease cost and cycle/lead times
- Lead investigations into manufacturing/design issues and present proposed changes
- Create new and improve old assembly processes and integrate them into existing designs
- Design tooling and test stations to be used in manufacturing
- Generate parts, assemblies, and drawings in Siemens NX in order to document changes to designs
- Write/modify manufacturing work instructions to incorporate new techniques/tools
- Develop strong product knowledge in imaging systems, and contribute across multiple different programs
- Work with vendors to address piece part manufacturability decisions
- 5+ years experience in either a manufacturing, or hands-on R&D role
- A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
- An understanding of basic electrical systems such as oscilloscope operation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work within a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to work in Siemens NX or similar CAD tool
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
- 5+ years experience in either a manufacturing, or hands-on R&D role
- PLM experience such as Teamcenter
- 2+ years utilizing a Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
