About the RoleDandy is hiring a strategic and hands-on Manufacturing Industrial Engineer (MIE) to join our fast-growing, venture-backed company. The Production Planning Team owns the performance, modeling, and forward-looking operational readiness of our manufacturing operations. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in driving day-to-day manufacturing execution at both Lehi and Provo facilities while building a scalable foundation for capacity modeling, throughput improvement, and production forecasting. This role is ideal for an experienced industrial engineer ready to own critical elements of production performance and drive cross-functional improvements across planning, operations, and manufacturing systems.
This is a unique opportunity to be a key player in evolving how we integrate data, operations, and engineering to deliver on-time results, improve budget predictability, and support strategic growth.
What You'll Do
Own and lead daily operational reviews with site leadership and production managers to proactively identify and resolve bottlenecks.
Analyze production gaps and model variances; develop and implement data-driven solutions that directly impact output and efficiency.
Design, maintain, and continuously improve capacity models used for headcount planning, shift strategy, and capital investment.
Partner cross-functionally with Process Engineering, Ops, and Quality to launch and track continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor real-time order volume, manual entry, and throughput trends; present insights and action plans to stakeholders.
Independently manage key planning and readiness workstreams across tools, processes, and cross-site coordination.
Are a self-starter who can independently drive initiatives from problem identification to implementation.
Can translate messy operational data into clear, actionable insights for site leadership.
Love systems thinking and designing scalable solutions in fast-growing environments.
Have experience influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.
Are energized by daily problem-solving and longer-horizon production modeling.
What We're Looking For

Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills– you know how to align stakeholders and drive action.
Able to prioritize and manage multiple competing tasks with attention to detail and execution.
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
Bonus Points For
Experience in medical devices or regulated manufacturing environments.
Prior role in capacity planning, production modeling, or industrial engineering.
Formal certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar.
