- Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of mechanical and electrical manufacturing engineers to ensure they are working effectively and efficiently.
- Manufacturing Process Development: Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes, including mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, and inspection.
- Process Optimization: Analyze and optimize existing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.
- Quality and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that manufacturing processes and products meet quality standards, including ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and regulatory compliance.
- Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources, to ensure successful project execution.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical expertise in manufacturing engineering, including mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, and inspection.
- Communication and Collaboration: Communicate with stakeholders, including production, quality, and customer teams, to ensure alignment and effective issue resolution.
- Performance Metrics: Develop and track key performance metrics, including quality, productivity, and efficiency.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing processes and products.
- Training and Development: Identify training and development needs for team members and provide opportunities for growth and professional development.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage budgets, including capital expenditures and operating expenses.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement changes to improve manufacturing processes and products.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, including 2 years of leadership experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, including mechanical and electrical assembly, testing, and inspection.
- Experience with quality management systems, including ISO/AS 9001.
- Proven experience utilizing ERP systems to manage production workflow.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Experience with industry-specific regulations.
- Certification in manufacturing engineering, such as CMRP or CMfgE.
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
