What You’ll DoBe the Problem‑Solver on the Floor
  • Provide hands-on engineering support to manufacturing and service teams.

  • Troubleshoot issues involving equipment, tooling, automation, materials, and processes.

  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions that stick.

  • Analyze production data to spot trends, recurring issues, and risks before they become problems.

  • Develop permanent, scalable solutions that stabilize and improve production.

Stay Ahead of Issues Before They Happen
  • Track key metrics—downtime, scrap, yield, rework—to understand process health.

  • Use data and cross-functional insights to anticipate constraints or failures.

  • Build control plans, standard work, and monitoring systems that prevent repeat issues.

  • Maintain clear documentation of issues, actions, and lessons learned.

Shape the Future of Automation
  • Program, modify, and support automation systems including PLCs, robotics, and automated assembly/test equipment.

  • Support equipment setup, optimization, troubleshooting, and validation.

  • Partner with Maintenance and vendors to boost automation reliability.

  • Identify new automation opportunities that improve safety, throughput, and cost.

Lead Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and execute improvement strategies aligned with business goals.

  • Drive Lean, Six Sigma, and CI initiatives focused on efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.

  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and standardization.

  • Strengthen long-term manufacturing capability, scalability, and resilience.

Build and Refine Processes
  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes, work instructions, routings, and tooling.

  • Ensure processes are robust, repeatable, and capable of meeting quality and production targets.

  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) through DFM/DFA reviews and process validation.

  • Keep manufacturing documentation accurate and up to date.

Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Work closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Engineering.

  • Support quality investigations, CAPA, and audit activities.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality systems and regulatory requirements.

 
What You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or related engineering field.

  • 3–10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or production support.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a track record of implementing lasting corrective actions.

  • Experience with automation systems (PLC, robotics, automated assembly/test equipment).

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, controls, and continuous improvement.

  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and anticipate operational risks.

  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Bonus Points
  • Experience in high-mix or regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, or similar CI certification.

  • Project management or automation implementation experience.
