Position Overview
The Enterprise Data, Analytics & AI organization at Marriott is pioneering the future of hospitality by serving as the company’s AI driven decision nervous center—where data and AI converge to guide every decision.  The organization is seeking a Managing Vice President, Data Products to lead the enterprise-wide data product function. In this capacity, the MVP, Data Products will oversee data product, data services and data strategy initiatives across multiple domains and aligning efforts with strategic priorities. This executive is responsible for setting the vision, strategy, and performance of data products and services spanning every business domain, ensuring they deliver consistent, scalable, and high-impact experiences for users and measurable value for the enterprise.
As the strategic anchor for data product and service innovation and enablement, this role guides multiple cross-functional product teams toward a cohesive roadmap, balancing innovation with reliability. Through strategic direction, partnership, and influence, the MVP, Data Products drives alignment across business and technology, shaping investments that unlock data-driven growth and lasting impact.
This leader maintains strong partnerships across technical and business teams, oversees a high-performing team, and stays ahead of emerging trends to position the organization for long-term success.
 

Qualifications
•    15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology product management, with a strong focus on data platforms, data services, analytics, AI and enterprise digital transformation. 
•    Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a quantitative or technology-related discipline (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Management); advanced degree preferred. 
•    Proven success in shaping and executing enterprise-wide product strategies and managing large-scale, cross-functional portfolios. 
•    Deep expertise in Agile delivery within complex, matrixed environments. 
•    Strong command of data-driven decision-making, product lifecycle management, and customer enablement strategies. 
•    Demonstrated ability to build strategic partnerships with stakeholders at all levels across the organization. 
•    Exceptional stakeholder management and influence skills, with a track record of navigating executive-level discussions and driving strategic decisions. 
•    Experience leading change management initiatives, driving adoption, and fostering cultural transformation. 
•    Inspirational leadership style, known for cultivating collaboration, empowerment, and accountability across diverse teams. 
•    Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable outcomes and measurable business impact. 
•    Proven track record of building and scaling enterprise data products and services, including customer data platforms and consent management solutions. 
•    Strong understanding of data architecture, governance frameworks, and modern data platforms (e.g., cloud-native, real-time, API and MCP-driven). 
•    Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience operating in global or matrixed organizations.
•    Prior hospitality or travel industry experience, with knowledge of related platforms and ecosystems such as customer data platforms, loyalty systems, and consent management tools is preferred. 
 

Key Responsibilities
•    Lead the Data Products function for the organization, overseeing data product, services and strategy initiatives across multiple domains and aligning efforts with enterprise priorities. 
•    Define and champion the long-term vision for data products and platforms serving a specific audience or business domain. Align business, D&A and technology strategies to drive innovation, scalability, and customer-centricity. 
•    Own the strategy of the data product portfolio, including integrated technology, physical, and SaaS solutions. Own the roadmaps to ensure cohesive end-to-end experiences and value realization with a focus on both the integrated consumer journey and property needs
•    Shape decisions with long-term enterprise impact, influencing senior leadership across Marriott Technology and business units. 
•    Lead business case development for ongoing investments. Define annual budgets, objectives, and outcomes informed by strategic priorities. 
•    Sponsor and mentor Data Product Managers, translating vision into actionable roadmaps and high-level solution requirements. 
•    Drive the creation of new technology-enabled business models. Benchmark industry trends and analyze competitive landscapes to inform strategy. 
•    Own product performance metrics, including customer OKRs, technical reliability (e.g., uptime and related SLAs), costs to build and operate, maturity, and market growth. 
•    Build strong relationships across technical, business, and external partners to deliver prioritized roadmaps and continuously improve product offerings. 
•    Anticipate and lead transformational change, fostering agility, innovation, and measurable impact. 
•    Own the roadmaps for the enterprise data products and services portfolio, ensuring alignment with business needs and delivery of solutions that drive outcomes and operational efficiencies. 
•    Understand enterprise business needs and related implications for data, identifying requirements to deliver products that meet strategic objectives. 
•    Oversee team structure, resource allocation, and portfolio prioritization to ensure high-impact data strategy initiatives are delivered efficiently and effectively. 
•    Build and mentor a high-performing Data Products team, cultivating capabilities that promote innovative thinking and proactive identification of emerging trends. 
•    Represent Data Products in cross-functional forums, enterprise transformation efforts, and governance bodies. 
•    Champion data literacy and drive adoption of analytics tools and insights to empower business leaders and foster a culture of informed decision-making. 
•    Ensure data governance, quality, and ethical use of analytics across all domains. 
•    Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics, data science, and product innovation.
