As a Managing Director for Operations Support, you will be responsible for growing and overseeing the revenue and service delivery of operations and support projects for the Energy/Commodity Trading technology landscape across multiple clients in North America.   

You will support the business growth with a heavy focus on capSpire’s global delivery overseeing the entire Operations Support (OpS) service lifecycle, i.e. initiation, planning and execution of maintenance and support engagements, ensuring efficient, high-quality service that meets client needs and drives operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage global service delivery 
    • Oversee Operations Support across multiple clients, understand clients needs and own end-to-end success of our clients to ensure value is delivered, experienced and recognized.
    • Lead, mentor and manage a geographically dispersed team of consultants to ensure optimal performance and delivery scope fulfillment via standard operating procedures and best practices.   
    • Maintain culture and equality in the team regardless of geographies/time zones and promote collaboration across team members and departments that contributes positively to capSpire’s culture.  
  • Manage costs and project finances: Control and optimize project cost to ensure profitability, efficient global staffing.  Closely monitor the financial performance of the engagements, identifying trends, variances and actionable countermeasures.
  • Monitor performance: Manage both external customer SLA’s as well as internal operational performance via KPI’s to relevant stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations for course correction and optimization in accordance with plans.
  • Drive scalability: Operations support processes, global staffing and communication. Continuously drive process improvement and optimization while enabling professional growth opportunities for your team.
  • Support Revenue Growth: Work closely with the Global Operations Support leadership and the Commercial Organization in identifying and implementing strategies to increase revenue and margins.  

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder management: Work closely with the client side and internal stakeholders and the delivery team to ensure successful and timely delivery of the committed scope of work and serve as a point of escalation for issue resolution. 
  • Client relationship management: Proven experience in managing client relationships, including building and maintaining strong partnerships, understanding client needs and delivering tailored solutions to drive satisfaction.
  • Contract management: Ability to manage contracts from negotiation to completion, ensuring compliance and alignment with business objectives.
  • Compliance and standards: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations and best practices in support and delivery operations.
  • Growth, strategic planning and trusted advisory: Monitor and identify upcoming changes to the client landscape, service scope and strategic initiatives that impact or create growth opportunities. 

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). 
  • 15+ years professional experience and proven experience (10+ years) in managing and delivering Energy/Commodity Trading technology support and projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of ETRM systems and landscapes, energy markets, trade lifecycle, and related technologies, such as Openlink Commodities (previously known as "Openlink" or "Endur"), Allegro, RightAngle, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership with a strong history of driving and executing global engagements, ensuring successful cross-functional collaboration and strategic alignment.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, project management, and decision-making abilities to ensure best practice delivery in Operations Support.
  • Certifications in ETRM systems or relevant domains (desired).
