Use Your Power for Purpose
Provides day-to-day oversight and direction to the Supply Chain Warehouse team. Primary function of the position is to manage and control all aspects of warehouse operations, receiving, internal distribution, shipping, material management and oversight of all other activities necessary for supporting and maintaining all cGMP, R&D, laboratory, and other support operations at the facility. Accountable for staff to ensure that all warehouse operations are performed in a timely fashion, efficiently and in accordance with all applicable company, department, and regulatory requirements (FDA, cGMP, DOT, Hazmat, EPA, FAA etc.)
What You Will Achieve
In this role, you will:

  • Supervise the warehouse functions and manage daily operations for receipt, storage, distribution of cGMP raw materials; receipt, delivery and shipment of indirect/non-manufacturing materials; and mail across the site.
  • Train warehouse staff and ensure compliance with all relevant SOPs and policies. Provide leadership to ensure compliance with safety, cGMP, and logistics regulations in accordance with departmental, site, corporate, and governmental standards.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods and provide warehouse services to support the site. Ensure materials are received, stored, moved and shipped on-time. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements as they pertain to the warehouse (i.e. FDA, DEA, DOT, HAZMAT, EPA, etc.)
  • Establish efficient schedules for personnel and workloads to ensure all requirements are met. Across warehouse shifts, ensure appropriate staffing coverage and balanced workloads.
  • Review policies and SOPs for accuracy and compliance. Create / update site policies and SOPs to reflect the current state of operations, including changes in department, site, corporate or government regulations.
  • Provide oversight and ensure inventory accuracy as it relates to the entry of transactions in the ERP system and periodic cycle counts.
  • Develop and manage warehouse budget including costs associated with materials, equipment and service providers. Provide invoice reconciliation and general purchase order support.
  • Delegate responsibilities to manage daily operations and long-term projects/objectives for the department.
  • Provide guidance, counseling, and direction in the development of staff.
  • Perform annual performance evaluations and establish goal settings for the group and individual staff.
  • Manage staff dynamics through participating in processes for effective hiring, promotion, transfer, or dismissal, as appropriate, to build efficient / effective staff and minimize turnover.
  • Lead self-audits. Create a state of audit readiness by ensuring the warehouse is maintained and cleaned appropriately to meet required standards.
  • Be primary contact within areas of responsibility for related audit responses, commitment follow up, investigations and procedure inquiries.
  • Work with internal and external customers to ensure service levels are met through effective communication and problem solving.
  • Identify process improvements and serve as a change agent for continuous improvement initiatives regarding compliance, safety, risk minimization, product quality and waste reduction through application of IMEx principles.


Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)

  • Applicant must have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience; OR an as associate's degree with 8 years of experience; OR a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience.
  • Prior experience includes strong knowledge, support and capability related to warehouse and dock operations, methods and practices. Qualifying military experience may also be considered in lieu of industrial experience.
  • Ability to manage, organize, solve problems and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, while exercising problem solving, leadership, and diplomacy with all levels of colleagues.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to interact with staff, management, vendors and carriers.
  • Working knowledge of inventory management systems, practices, and procedures.Experience with SAP ERP is preferable.
  • Strong leadership, motivational, and people management skills.


Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)

  • Knowledge of cGMP principles used within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Advanced training in project management, supply chain management, scientific or clinical disciplines, business administration, and/or people development


PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
Position requires on-call availability to address support functions for the site. This includes evenings and weekends on a routine basis.

NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Schedule is 1st shift, Monday - Friday. Able to work traditional and/or split shifts as well as weekends, holidays and overtime as needed to effectively manage operations.
Work Location Assignment: On Premise
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $102,900.00 to $171,500.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 15.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
