Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer (CPO), this individual will partner with leaders across the organization to build a scalable learning and development framework that supports leadership excellence, cross-functional collaboration, AI adoption, and organizational readiness as Coterie continues to grow.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Development

  • Partner closely with the Chief People Officer to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive New Manager Training Program that establishes consistent leadership expectations and management capabilities across Coterie.
  • Own the planning, content development, facilitation, and continuous improvement of quarterly, in-person New Manager Training sessions, including travel to facilitate these programs.
  • Develop engaging, practical learning experiences covering essential management competencies, including performance management, accountability, coaching, difficult conversations, employee engagement, delegation, and effective communication.
  • Identify opportunities for ongoing leadership development beyond new manager onboarding, including targeted programs for emerging leaders, experienced managers, and senior leaders.
  • Create practical leadership resources, toolkits, and reinforcement activities that help managers translate training into everyday behaviors.
  • Evaluate leadership capability gaps and proactively recommend learning interventions that improve management effectiveness.

AI Training & Workforce Enablement

  • Research, evaluate, and engage external AI experts, facilitators, and training partners to deliver relevant, high-impact educational experiences.
  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts and technology leaders to develop and facilitate AI-focused learning sessions tailored to Coterie's business functions.
  • Stay informed of emerging AI capabilities, workforce trends, and learning methodologies to recommend forward-thinking development initiatives.
  • Measure training effectiveness and partner with stakeholders to evaluate improvements in employee confidence, proficiency, and practical application of AI tools.

Leadership Assimilation & Team Effectiveness

  • Facilitate structured leadership assimilation sessions for teams experiencing leadership transitions, including newly hired or promoted leaders that accelerate team integration, establish mutual expectations, build trust, and improve communication.
  • Help newly formed or restructured teams navigate the forming and storming stages of team development to establish effective working relationships more quickly.
  • Partner with the CPO and functional leaders to identify teams that would benefit from targeted interventions, facilitated discussions, or team development activities.
  • Conduct follow-up assessments to evaluate the effectiveness of assimilation activities and identify opportunities for additional support.

Annual Training Compliance Administration

  • Oversee and administer the annual companywide mandatory training calendar, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, compliance obligations, and organizational priorities.
  • Coordinate the scheduling, assignment, communication, and tracking of required employee training programs, ensuring clear expectations and established completion deadlines.
  • Monitor training completion rates, proactively identify overdue assignments, and maintain accurate records to support compliance reporting and audit readiness.
  • Hold employees and people leaders accountable for completing mandatory training within established deadlines through regular reporting, proactive follow-up, and escalation of noncompliance in accordance with company policies.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate training administration, tracking, reporting, and escalation processes to improve operational efficiency and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Learning & Development, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in learning and development, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience independently designing, developing, and delivering leadership or professional development programs.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills, with experience engaging audiences in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • Proven ability to identify organizational challenges, develop actionable solutions, and independently drive initiatives through completion.
  • Experience partnering with senior leaders to assess learning needs and develop targeted development programs.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and experiential learning methodologies.
  • Exceptional project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on program development and delivery.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing business priorities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel for quarterly in-person training programs and other business needs.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Experience):

  • Experience designing and facilitating leadership assimilation, team effectiveness, or organizational development interventions.
  • Familiarity with AI tools and their applications in workforce productivity, learning, and organizational transformation.
  • Experience sourcing and managing external training consultants, facilitators, and subject matter experts.
  • Experience developing cross-functional learning initiatives that improve business processes and collaboration.
  • Relevant professional certifications, such as ATD, CPTD, SHRM-SCP, Prosci, or other organizational development credentials.
  • Experience working within insurance, financial services, or another regulated industry.
