We are looking for a strategic, people-focused Manager of Technical Account Management Services to lead a team of TAMs supporting customers across a wide range of industries—including State and Local Government, Finance, Healthcare, and more. The Manager of Technical Account Management is a frontline management role with three primary responsibilities: services delivery, people management, and margin management in support of growing ARR.  The Key responsibility is for the successful delivery of TAM services as well as the coordination of activities and information between key engagement stakeholders. As a TAM Manager, you will empower your team to act as trusted technical partners, driving customer adoption, resilience, and long-term success.  

What you'll do

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing team of Technical Account Managers who deliver proactive, technical guidance to our most important customers. 
  • Develop a strong, customer-obsessed team culture that emphasizes innovation, accountability, and operational excellence. 
  • Define and measure success metrics for TAM engagements that contribute to customer satisfaction, adoption, and retention. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, and Support teams to streamline customer experiences and address complex needs. 
  • Support the team in managing technical escalations with urgency and empathy, acting as an executive point of contact as needed. 
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics to assess the effectiveness of the team and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Drive continuous improvement through feedback loops, training programs, and knowledge sharing. 
  • Help build programs that the TAMs (Technical Account Managers) will execute to effectively grow our enterprise customers. 
  • Grow revenue through the effective management and expansion of the existing account(s) 
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and career development to grow the TAM function as the company scales. 
  • Support the professional and personal growth of team members by consistently offering constructive feedback, coaching, and direction on their personal development journeys, while fostering an environment where they are motivated to take charge of their own career progression. 
  • Stay up-to-date with product capabilities, industry regulations, and customer use cases to align strategic guidance with business needs. 

What you'll bring:

  • 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (e.g., TAM, Solutions Consultant, Support Engineer), with 2+ years in a leadership position. 
  • Experience in SaaS, cloud-based platforms, or mission-critical technology environments. 
  • Proven ability to lead teams that support customers in high-stakes, regulated, or public facing sectors. 
  • Demonstrated ability for people management, including hiring, onboarding as well as cultivating professional development opportunities as part of performance management functions. 
  • Strong sense of urgency for customer issues. 
  • Comfortable leading larger teams including cross-functional members as needed. 
  • Track record of improving customer satisfaction, reducing churn, and supporting upsell/expansion through technical enablement. 
  • Proven track record or experience working effectively with sales leaders to help identify opportunities and present solutions within an account. 
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level engagement. 
  • Familiarity with tools like Asana, Salesforce, Jira, Totango and logging/monitoring systems is a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s degree in in management, Business, Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. 

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Everbridge ranges from $118,000 - $150,000 and may also include variable compensation. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
