The Manager, Strategy & Operations supports business initiatives through program management, strategic analyses, and collaboration across teams in a high-growth setting.

Drata is scaling quickly — and with growth comes complexity. As our Manager, Strategy & Operations, you’ll play a critical role in helping the business plan, prioritize, and execute against its most important strategic initiatives. You’ll partner cross-functionally on mission-critical work including M&A integration and GTM acceleration, while supporting annual and long-range planning cycles and company-wide OKR processes

This is a high-visibility, high-impact role with exposure to executive leadership and a wide range of functional teams (GTM, Product, Finance, People, and more). You’ll thrive here if you enjoy operating in ambiguity, solving high-leverage problems, and building durable operating rhythms at a company in hypergrowth.

What you’ll do:

  • Provide program management and analytical support for cross-functional initiatives related to M&A, GTM acceleration and business transformation.
  • Drive department-level initiative prioritization and execution within GTM and Operations, working in conjunction with R&D and G&A teams.
  • Support analyses and recommendations for new strategic company initiatives.
  • Design and manage operating cadences to bring transparency and accountability for top-priority programs.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to diagnose operational pain points and launch scalable solutions.
  • Develop frameworks, dashboards, and executive-ready deliverables to support strategic decision-making.

What you’ll bring:

  • Hands-on program management and analytical capabilities — you can roll up your sleeves to move a project from idea to execution.
  • Strong strategic problem-solving skills — you bring structure and clarity to ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills; you can build trust and alignment across senior audiences.

Requirements:

  • 5–7 years of experience in Operations, Strategic Planning, Corporate Development, or Consulting (preferably in SaaS or high-growth tech).
  • Prior exposure to M&A, integration, or transformation work is a strong plus.
  • Experience leading annual planning, OKRs, or company operating rhythms.
  • Familiarity with planning and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Jira, Salesforce).

Benefits:

  • Healthcare: 90-100% paid premiums for medical, dental, and vision plans for employee and dependents + on demand health care concierge
  • HSA, FSA, & DCFSA: Pre-tax savings plans for healthcare and dependent care, with up to a $600 annual employer contribution to the HSA plan (if enrolled in HSA medical plan)
  • 100% paid short and long term disability plus life + AD&D benefits
  • Learning & Development: $500 annually towards professional development opportunities + $250 annually towards personal development opportunities
  • Flexible Time Off: Flexible vacation policy for strong, fully charged batteries
  • 16 Weeks Paid Parental Leave: An inclusive policy to ensure you have time with your newborn, newly adopted, or foster child
  • Work Remotely: Flexible hours and work from home + $1,000 annually to cover necessary business related items for your home office
  • 401K: Reach your financial goals while reducing your taxes

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are below, subject to change.

Tier 1: $148,500 - $183,400

Tier 2: $133,700 - $165,100

Tier 3: $118,800 - $146,700

You can view which tier applies to where you plan to work here. What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
