Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead and mentor a team of software developers to deliver high-quality, scalable software platforms
- Provide technical guidance and career development support to team members
- Oversee project planning and delivery timelines
- Manage team capacity, hiring, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with other members of the EZClaim leadership team, along vertical and group leadership, to understand priorities and business objectives, translating them into technical deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance on design, architecture, and coding best practices, ensuring efficient and maintainable code.
- Review technical designs and code, avoiding unnecessary complexity and ensuring the quality of deliverables.
- Ensure stability and performance of software systems, proactively addressing any issues to meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the development team.
- Conduct regular code reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance code quality.
- Lead by example as a primary contributor
Skills & Competencies:
- Agile Project Management & Oversite
- Proficiency in C#, Angular, JavaScript, SQL (SQL Server)
- Azure/AWS Cloud Architecture & Deployment
- Experience with modern software development frameworks and methodologies
- Knowledge of database design, architecture, and optimization
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Leadership & Team Management: Proven ability to lead, motivate, and mentor high-performing software development teams
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5+ years in a formal leadership or engineering management role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience with SDLC tooling
- Prior experience with medical software solutions is a plus
- Minimum 6+ years of professional experience
- At least 5 years of experience in developing Web, SaaS, or Mobile products
- Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems
- Demonstrated ability to learn new technology and/or complex systems
- Deep understanding of .NET/C# programming
- Proven ability to decompose complex problems into discrete software deliverables
- Coachable with a high integrity ownership mind-set
- Self-starter with consistent track record of delivering high quality software in a pragmatic fashion
