Position Overview
We're seeking a Manager, Engineering (AI Platform). In this role, you will guide a technical team and provide expertise to ensure velocity and quality as we develop AI-based services.
What You'll Do
- Lead a team of engineers to deliver a suite of AI-based services in the areas of document classification and data extraction
- Provide professional and technical leadership with impactful guidance, coaching, and feedback
- Empower the team with clear goals and a data-informed approach to ensure excellence
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement with the team
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, and other Engineering Leaders to define work
- Monitor active work to reduce scope change, escalate blockers, and drive collaboration
- Collaborate with other internal teams to achieve our roadmap and quality goals
- Manage multiple engineering workstreams to support a common goal
We're Excited to Learn More About You
Your experience should include some or all of the following:
- 5+ years of experience creating high quality and scalable solutions
- 5+ years of experience confirming requirements, technical designs, testing, and production readiness
- 3+ years managing engineering teams
- Experience establishing and executing solution delivery plans, including managing scope, timelines, risks, and expectations
- Ability to provide coaching and guidance on areas such as software development, DevOps, infrastructure as Code (IaC), security best practices, cloud native architecture, and large data management.
- Influence the technical direction of AI-based initiatives involving software APIs, LLMs, model training, MLOps, and/or 3 rd party solution integrations.
- Work collaboratively with product management and other engineering leadership to align deliverables and integrations
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle methodology and testing practices
- Ability to recruit, develop, and retain technical teams
- Experience with Scrum practices and tools like Jira and Confluence
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, MIS, or CIS, or equivalent work experience
