Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced engineering leader for our 3D team. This team sits at the core of DroneDeploy’s unified reality capture platform and is responsible for bringing our digital twins from drone, robot and 360 videowalk into our customers’ hands.
Responsibilities
- Enhance the 3D viewing experience for our customers through continuous speed and quality improvements while maintaining a stable, bug-free platform
- Own the full 3D pipeline, from tile generation to client-side rendering and analysis
- Define and own the technical roadmap that sets us up to efficiently deliver a best-in-class 3D experience for our customers
- Research and advocate for new technologies that unlock
Requirements
- Experience leading small teams in the space of 3D graphics
- Deep technical expertise in web and mobile 3D rendering, and 3D tile generation pipelines
- Experience owning customer-facing products with thousands of monthly active users
- Experience with mobile 3D capture and AR
- Experience with BIM alignment to reality capture data and client rendering
- Available to travel domestically, quarterly, for work-related activities such as events, conferences, and training.
- Work Location | Able to work 100% remotely from home, within the US, Central timezone.
- Travel | Available to travel domestically occasionally for work-related activities such as conferences, company meetings, and training
