As an Manager of Sales for Virta you will be responsible for selling to employers, both directly and through key partnerships (health plans/ASOs, PBMs, Consultants, etc) to our mid-market customers ranging from approximately 1500 to 5000 employees. Your goal will be to secure positive contracts & relationsips with this mid-market customer base. You will have the opportunity to help build our commercialization efforts and capitalize on the national attention Virta is receiving for our industry-changing work.

Requirements
  • Experience selling an employee benefit solution to large clients, encompassing domain knowledge in medical protocols, clinical outcomes data, and economic impact analyses

  • Experience working with/selling to mid-sized enterprise Employers with multiple stakeholders and varied procurement processes

  • Quantifiable history of hitting or exceeding sales targets

  • Ability to present clearly to key decision makers

  • Commitment and discipline to top of funnel nurturing along with all other stages of the sales funnel

  • Proven and demonstrable consultative selling expertise

  • Partnering attitude with key sales channels like Consultant Relations; Health Plan ASOs, PBMs and more.

  • Ability to proactively manage pipeline and commitment to maintain up to date records of your current progress

  • A passion for improving the health of millions of people

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-growing startup environment which includes succeeding in times where parameters aren’t yet defined or change quickly

  • Bonus points for:

    • Existing relationships with key decision makers at large Employers, especially in your territory

    • Knowledge of Type 2 diabetes and of potential competitors

Responsibilities
  • Pick up established prospect funnel and move prospective clients through to contracting phase

  • Leverage demand generation work from marketing team to create new opportunities along with creating your own demand in your assigned territory

  • Further promote Virta as an innovative metabolic reversal clinic and critical employee benefit

  • Work closely with Vitra team members to provide client/prospect feedback

90 Day Plan

Within your first 90 days at Virta, we expect you will do the following:

  • Build internal relationships with Virta team members

  • Learn the Virta story and begin pitching to prospective clients

  • Begin outreach to prospects in the funnel

  • Create and begin executing roadmap for prospecting

As part of your duties at Virta, you may come in contact with sensitive patient information that is governed by HIPAA. Throughout your career at Virta, you will be expected to follow Virta's security and privacy procedures to ensure our patients' information remains strictly confidential. Security and privacy training will be provided.

As a remote-first company, our team is spread across various locations with office hubs in Denver and San Francisco.
