The Manager of the Sales Planning and Strategy provides leadership for category management and resource connection for the Primal Kitchen Sales Organization within both Primal Kitchen and KHC. This role will advocate for broad company sales objectives and serve as the "quarter back" in outlining plans for executing against those sales objectives. Main functions include but are not limited to process improvement, forecast accuracy, trade efficiency, distribution and merchandising strategy recommendations that will help to drive profitable revenue growth. This position will collaborate cross-functionally with Primal Kitchen Marketing, Finance, Sales, Supply chain and KHC BUSS partners to meet targets.
Success in this role is appropriately leveraging the unique strengths of both the Primal Kitchen team and KHC Sales and BUSS partners to help meet growth objectives.

New Hire Base Salary Range:
$102,100.00 - $127,600.00
Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.
The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors

Key Components of the role
- Collaborate with KHC field sales teams to ensure effective execution of business priorities, including seasonal builds, merchandising displays, and innovation launches. Act as a voice for the field within Primal Kitchen, ensuring their needs and challenges are addressed.
- Advocate for KHC and PK field sales requirements when working with Marketing and Ops on innovation, merchandising, allocation, and display strategies. Ensure alignment between Primal Kitchen brand initiatives and field execution capabilities.
- Be partners with PK Demand Planning and the PK/KHC Sales team to develop and refine sales planning processes, ensuring alignment with field teams and overall business objectives.
- Build and maintain relationship with KHC BUSS partners to ensure consistent Category Leadership and PK representation.
- Proactively identify and address issues related to shipment volumes. Develop and implement processes to mitigate potential disruptions, ensuring smooth delivery to customers and maintaining high service levels.
- Utilize shipment and consumption data to monitor business performance. Provide regular updates and insights to leadership, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Lead preparation efforts for new product launches, including tracking progress, identifying potential issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges.
- Design and implement processes to enhance service delivery and operational efficiency. Continuously seek opportunities for optimization and drive improvements in execution.
- Manage proactive communication with the field sales teams, ensuring they are informed about service issues, prioritization actions, and overall business strategies. Foster a collaborative environment to drive collective success.
Minimum Qualifications
- Proven professional experience with an understanding of Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry; 5 years of prior experience in category management or sales preferred
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capability with experience using data
- Outstanding verbal, written and interpersonal communications skills
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Advanced Excel knowledge and experience working with databases (Nielsen, IRI, SPINS)
- Experience presenting to and working with customers
