To support our continued growth and ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting, we are expanding our Quote-to-Cash (QTC) team with a key leadership hire. This hands-on role will work closely with our U.S. corporate finance and accounting teams and play an integral part in overseeing daily revenue operations, leading month-end close activities, reviewing contracts for ASC 606 compliance, and identifying opportunities for automation and process improvement. The Revenue Accounting Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with teams across Billing, Collections, System Administration, Provisioning, and Order Management to ensure timely and accurate revenue recognition for our subscription, professional services, and consumption-based products in Zuora, RevPro, and NetSuite.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, detail-oriented CPA (or has equivalent experience), with 4–6 years of progressive experience at a high-growth SaaS company or a Big 4 accounting firm. This individual should bring a strong mix of operational and technical accounting expertise, including experience preparing technical memos, conducting ASC 606 and 340 analyses, and supporting corporate audits and compliance in a U.S.-based, multinational environment. As a key member of the Revenue Accounting team, reporting to the Director of Revenue Accounting, the successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate a willingness to roll up their sleeves, and possess the leadership skills necessary to guide 1–2 direct reports while contributing to the continuous enhancement of our global Quote-to-Cash processes.

  • Oversee month-end close activities, including preparation and reconciliation of revenue and deferred revenue schedules, journal entries, and management reporting.
  • Perform and analyze Standalone Selling Price (SSP) calculations and maintain revenue accounting policies.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Deal Desk, QTC Operations, and FP&A to ensure accurate revenue recognition and scalable processes.
  • Provide guidance on new products, pricing models, and enterprise deals to ensure proper revenue treatment.

  • Identify and implement automation and process improvements across the revenue and billing systems (e.g., Zuora, RevPro).
  • Maintain and optimize the Company’s revenue management systems and reporting tools.
  • Design and manage UAT testing for new pricing, products, and system enhancements.
  • Analyze QTC data and generate insights and metrics to support decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support non-routine transactions, contract reviews, and ongoing business initiatives.

Our Vision Of You

  • 4-6 years of progressively responsible experience in a SaaS company (or public accounting firm)

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
