Position SummaryThis is an individual contributor role.
The Manager, Proposals is responsible for leading the development, review, and delivery of high-quality proposal responses that accurately represent Meritain Health’s capabilities, value proposition, and competitive advantages. This role serves as the final quality authority for Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and associated questionnaires, ensuring accuracy, consistency, compliance, and strategic alignment prior to submission.
This position is focused on proposal excellence, response quality, and content consistency. The Manager, Proposals plays a critical role in shaping proposal strategy, strengthening competitive positioning, and influencing how Meritain Health presents its capabilities and solutions in the marketplace. This individual partners closely with Sales, Product, Operations, and Subject Matter Experts to develop compelling, customer-focused responses that differentiate Meritain Health and support business growth.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in RFP writing, proposal development, and client management, including developing client-facing proposals and managing client relationships.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in the insurance industry, with demonstrated knowledge of insurance products, processes, and client needs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hiring preference for candidates who are able to work East Coast business hours.
- 3–5 years of experience with Meritain Health, including experience supporting clients, navigating internal processes, and partnering across cross-functional teams to meet business and client needs.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Journalism, Communications, or a related field, and/or equivalent relevant work experience.

The typical pay range for this role is:
$54,300.00 - $159,120.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
