About the company
Kodex revolutionizes how organizations handle sensitive subpoenas and data requests from law enforcement and government agencies. Founded by a former FBI agent and backed by leading investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, Peak XV and Thiel Capital, Kodex has become the industry standard for secure data exchange. Our platform supports over 15,000 government agencies in 190 countries and is trusted by industry leaders like Coinbase, Stripe, and AT&T.
By transforming a traditionally complex and manual process into a streamlined digital workflow, Kodex helps organizations strengthen compliance, enhance security, and reduce operational costs by millions each year. We bridge the gap between companies and authorized requestors, ensuring that sensitive data is handled with uncompromising security, transparency, and efficiency.
The Role
Kodex is seeking a visionary and execution-oriented Manager, Product to lead our product organization. Reporting directly to the VP of Product Delivery, you will be responsible for defining the overarching product strategy and managing a high-performing Product team.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you will bridge the gap between high-level business goals and technical execution. You will oversee a complex ecosystem that involves secure data exchange, advanced API integrations, and the deployment of AI-driven features. The ideal candidate is a "player-coach" who can mentor a diverse team while remaining deeply technical enough to partner effectively with Engineering and navigate stringent compliance landscapes.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Leadership
Partner with the VP of Product Delivery to define and communicate the long-term product vision and roadmap.
Lead, mentor, and scale a cross-functional team of Product Managers and Data Scientists, fostering a culture of excellence, curiosity, and accountability.
Drive the product lifecycle from discovery to launch, ensuring all features align with Kodex’s mission of secure, compliant data exchange.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Establish and track key product metrics (KPIs) to measure the success of features and inform future investments.
Work closely with Data Scientists to leverage machine learning and analytics, turning raw data into actionable product insights and automated workflows.
Implement a rigorous, evidence-based approach to prioritization and resource allocation.
Execution & Technical Partnership
Drive strong partnership with Engineering to ensure high-velocity delivery without compromising on security or architectural integrity.
Oversee the development of robust APIs and AI-enhanced features, ensuring they meet the needs of both enterprise clients and government agencies.
Navigate complex compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., GDPR, ECPA, SOC2, CJIS) to ensure product designs are "secure by default."
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Serve as a key bridge between Product, Engineering, Sales, and Legal to ensure go-to-market alignment.
Represent the product organization in high-stakes conversations with external stakeholders and enterprise partners.
What You Bring
5-7+ years of Product experience and 5+ years of people management experience (product managers, engineers, or adjacent roles; you’ve built and led teams, not just “had a couple of reports”).
