The Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for leading the Consumer Product Marketing team while also serving as an individual contributor on high impact product marketing initiatives. This player coach role drives the strategic direction, execution, and performance of product marketing efforts by balancing hands-on ownership of core PMM work with people leadership responsibilities. This role oversees a team of Product Marketing Managers and is accountable for translating product and corporate strategy into compelling market positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution.

The Manager, Product Marketing will establish objectives, prioritize initiatives, and ensure consistent execution across the product portfolio while personally owning and executing product marketing deliverables for assigned products or initiatives, partnering closely with Product Management, Sales, Demand Generation, and other cross functional stakeholders. This role reports to the VP of Product Marketing and has direct people management responsibility.

Expected Duties

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Product Marketing Managers, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and career development support

  • Directly own messaging, positioning, launches, and go-to-market execution for assigned products or strategic initiatives

  • Set and communicate product marketing strategy and priorities aligned to company objectives and product roadmaps

  • Oversee and personally contribute to messaging, positioning, and go-to-market strategies across assigned consumer product lines

  • Ensure high quality execution of product launches, sales enablement materials, customer facing messaging, and marketing collateral, both through direct ownership and team oversight

  • Partner closely with Product Management to align on market insights, product strategy, roadmaps, pricing, and packaging

  • Drive cross functional alignment with Sales, Demand Generation, Brand, and Customer facing teams to ensure consistent and effective execution

  • Review, prioritize, and allocate team workload while managing their own portfolio of deliverables to ensure focus on initiatives with the greatest business impact

  • Provide guidance and escalation support on complex or high impact product marketing initiatives

  • Use market research, customer insights, and performance data to inform strategy and continuous improvement

  • Represent Product Marketing in cross functional planning, reviews, and leadership discussions

Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

The role requires the establishment of annual objectives and the execution of tactics to support MeridianLink’s business goals through effective product marketing leadership.

  • Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop product marketing professionals

  • Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and execution plans

  • Deep understanding of product marketing fundamentals, including positioning, messaging, go-to-market strategy, and sales enablement

  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners and drive alignment without direct authority

  • Ability to analyze market, customer, and performance data to inform decisions and resolve complex problems

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences

  • Ability to manage competing priorities and guide teams through ambiguity

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of relevant experience, including demonstrated people leadership experience
