Job Description:

Summary

The Manager Pricing is responsible for the daily support of sales and operations management on development, review and approval of pricing new business and analysis of and re-pricing existing business. Develops and maintains computer models to assist the field in the valuation and costing of business. Responsible for training the field organization on pricing techniques and guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Pricing Support On a daily basis: Will perform all costing for any new and existing customers. Will communicate guidelines to NSD's, AVP's, RDM's and SDE's and assist in the formulation of specific strategies. Will provide analytical support to Director RDL-Pricing & Planning, VP Sales and RDL President to assist in decision-making. Will provide technical advice and validate reasonableness of operating assumptions for the field organization. Will communicate with customers and prospects on the financial aspects of RDL proposals

  • Employee Development & Supervision: Plan staffing requirements, hiring (internal & external), work plan development Employee training and development Employee review and performance appraisals Provide overview and direction on projects Facilitate the flow of work and communication between analysts

  • Develops pricing strategy, tactics, guidelines and tools for field organization: Develops and continually enhances Dedicated Cost Analyst portion of APS model to assist field. Participates in a deal strategy discussions to determine margin requirements on large deals. Influences management's focus to be on margin dollars do not margin percent. Works to develop national lease rates and works with HR and Compensation for standardized pay rates

  • Commissions and Sales Reporting: Calculate all commissions earned through RDL sales Work on task force to develop new commission plans Report sales and quota monthly and quarterly and prepare presentation and analysis for senior management review

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in MBA, Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Business, or related field, Required

  • 2 years or more in Ryder experience, Preferred

  • 4 years or more in Work experience, Required

  • Knowledge of RDL and CLS businesses and operations Advanced, Required

  • Technical proficiency in Financial Analysis, Accounting, Financial Reporting and Controls Advanced, Required

  • Proficiency with computer applications, both mainframe and sophisticated PC spreadsheets Advanced, Required

  • Knowledge of Logistics Intermediate, Preferred

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Preferred

Compensation Information:

The compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience; education, including relevant degrees or certifications; work location; market data/ranges; internal equity; internal salary ranges; etc. The position may also be eligible to receive an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan based on the level and/or type. Compensation ranges for the position are below:

Pay Type:

Salaried

Minimum Pay Range:

$80,900.00

Maximum Pay Range:

$121,250.00
