Here at Hometap, we’re collaborative, passionate, and always ready to roll up our sleeves to create solutions that help people get more out of homeownership — and out of life. Our first product, a home equity investment, gives homeowners the opportunity to quickly access the equity they’ve built in their home to pay for what’s most important to them, from handling debt to finally making much-needed renovations, without taking on debt.
We work hard, and have some fun along the way, too. You don’t have to take our word for it: The Boston Globe and Forbes have recognized us as a great place to work, and we’ve been honored for our commitment to innovation in the fintech space by Inc., HousingWire, and more!
In case you need any more convincing, we also provide competitive compensation, healthcare coverage, unlimited PTO, a generous share package, and a strong culture with plenty of opportunities for team-building and camaraderie.
Who you are:
We're seeking a growth-focused, data-driven marketer with deep experience across SEO, content optimization, and website experimentation. You’re equally comfortable developing strategy and rolling up your sleeves to execute. You’re energized by the evolution of search and discovery—especially the growing influence of generative engines—and you’re eager to help Hometap show up credibly and consistently across both traditional search and AI-driven answers.
You're a great fit if you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional partners, translating insights into action, and running experiments that improve traffic, conversion, and overall user experience. You bring curiosity, an analytical mindset, and a drive to build scalable systems for organic acquisition in an ever-changing landscape.
What you'll do:
Drive SEO & Organic Acquisition

- Audit and optimize site architecture, metadata, and internal linking in partnership with the Sr. Content Manager—balancing keyword strategy with strong brand storytelling
- Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to shape keyword and content strategy
- Launch SEO-driven content experiments (pillar pages, long-tail topics, topic clusters)
- Analyze and strengthen organic conversion paths across the funnel
Lead GEO (Generative Engine Optimization)
- Increase Hometap’s visibility and credibility within answers generated by leading AI models
- Identify high-value prompts, topics, and question categories where Hometap should appear
- Optimize content structure for large language model ingestion (entities, citations, clarity, factual framing)
- Publish authoritative, well-structured content that models can easily interpret and reference
- Build a monitoring framework to track when and where Hometap is surfaced in generative outputs
Manage CRO & Website Experimentation
- Improve site performance and conversion throughout the funnel
- Partner with the Growth Product Manager to develop and manage a structured experimentation roadmap with clear hypotheses and success metrics
- Run A/B and multivariate tests on headlines, messaging, layouts, CTAs and form flows
- Launch and optimize interactive tools such as calculators, quizzes, and widgets to drive engagement and lead quality
- Collaborate with Lifecycle Marketing to strengthen post-conversion flows and onboarding journeys
What you bring:
- 4+ years of experience in SEO, Growth Marketing, CRO, or related roles
- Strong understanding of modern SEO principles and the evolving landscape of generative engine optimization
- Hands-on experience developing and running website experiments using tools like VWO or other testing platforms
- Experience with Conductor or similar platforms to support SEO/GEO research, optimization, and performance tracking
- Proficiency with analytics tools such as Heap, or similar
- A structured, hypothesis-driven approach to conversion optimization
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to communicate insights clearly
- Curiosity, adaptability, and a test-and-learn mindset—especially in response to the rapidly changing world of search and AI discovery
Our team is what makes us great. The salary range for this role is $115,000 - $130,000, depending on your experience, skills, location, and other factors. You’ll also receive meaningful equity, so you can share in our growth and success.
