Job Summary
Under the direction of the Sr. Operations Manager, or Partner, the Operations Manager is focused on providing support and leadership to assigned components of key value streams of the practice, project managing key operational improvement initiatives in accordance with firm policies and procedures and providing direction to centralized operations functions and business group operations.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead Consulting administrative and centralized operational functions.
  • Performance coach administrative and operational personnel and support staff.
  • Provide support, training, mentoring, and quality control of Consulting and Industry operational functions.
  • Develop, sustain, enforce, review, approve, and provide quality control for assigned processes (e.g., purchasing, billing, expense management, knowledge management).
  • Project manage and provide business analysis for improvement projects.
  • Manage collaboration with key process such as business development, risk management, contracting, and score carding, etc.
  • Review contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Identify and initiate improvement opportunities.
  • Integrate consulting processes into firm processes and support overall firm operational initiatives.
  • Participate in strategic planning as needed.
  • Coordinate M&A onboarding activities.

Required Qualifications:
  • Two- or four-year degree desirable or substituted by prior relevant management experience.
  • 8-12 years of experience; including five years in related areas of expertise.
  • Prior managerial or supervisory experience.
  • Project management experience.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Ability to scope, plan, and budget for projects, while adeptly prioritizing and organizing work under pressure to meet budget and time deadlines.
  • Ability to lead teams, deliver results, and manage multiple projects concurrently, while remaining agile in responding to unexpected events or changing priorities.
  • Skilled in managing expectations, escalating effectively, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Excellent Written, Verbal and Presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate business concepts to a diverse audience of stakeholders at all levels.
  • Advanced proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Analytics
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and approach opportunities in a flexible and creative manner
  • Advanced knowledge of understanding the consulting groups products and services

Wipfli values fair, transparent, and competitive compensation, considering each candidate's unique skills and experiences. The estimated base pay range for this role is $87,000 to $130,000, with offers typically not made at the maximum, allowing for future salary increases. The actual salary at the time of offer depends on business related factors like location, skills, experience, training/education, licensure, certifications, business needs, current associate pay, and relevant employment laws.
Individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, subject to participation rules and based on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual and Firm performance.
