The salary range for this position is $99,000 - $110,000 per year. The base salary offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Restricted stock units will be provided as part of the compensation package.

This role reports into our Boston office Monday-Thursday (remote flexibility on Friday).

Wayfair’s Global Talent Development & Relations team is tasked with guiding Wayfair employees through development opportunities and touchpoints so they can grow and succeed from day one forward. The Role

Wayfair is looking for a driven, customer focused partner to lead our global Onboarding & Continuous Learning team. In this role, you will set the strategy for how we onboard and integrate thousands of new Wayfairians each year. In partnership with your direct team and key partners across the business, you will uncover data-driven onboarding opportunities and build end-to-end solutions to address our critical growth needs for Wayfair’s global employee base. Additionally, you will lead strategy and delivery of ongoing learning & development offerings for Wayfair’s employees, including our annual compliance trainings. You will be an expert on the Wayfair Learning Management System (LMS), maximizing how we use our LMS as a strategic tool. Success in this role is determined by your ability to effectively and efficiently build, execute, and iterate employee onboarding & learning programs to address key talent needs. You will manage a motivated team of learning  & development professionals and will serve as a member of the leadership team for Global Talent Development & Relations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and delivery of New Hire Orientation & Onboarding for corporate Wayfair employees of all levels and roles; lead programs that incorporate instructor-led sessions, practical application of new skills, and relationship building opportunities.
  • Drive strategy & content development for continuous learning offerings at Wayfair; this includes legally required compliance trainings.
  • Assess and identify new learning needs; determine priorities based on internal and external business factors, key opportunities for improvement identified through feedback, etc.
  • Design new content as needed, ensuring content is scalable, on brand, and caters to varied learning styles.
  • Establish metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs; partner with facilitators, analyze participant feedback, and iterate content.
  • Align closely and frequently with the Talent leadership team to ensure shared vision; partner closely with department-aligned onboarding partners.
  • Serve as a key administrator and subject matter expert of the LMS used across Wayfair (Axonify); partner closely with other Wayfair learning teams to maintain and leverage Axonify as a strategic tool.
  • Manage the strategy and execution of Wayfair’s annual compliance trainings by working with key stakeholders and business leaders (e.g., Wayfair’s legal team) to update and deliver content to employees.
  • Directly manage 4 team members, 3 of whom are based in Wayfair’s Boston office and 1 of whom is based in Wayfair’s London, England office. Drive engagement within team, and lead team to meet or exceed KPIs.

Preferred Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in onboarding, learning & development, or related area
  • Experience in learning content design, facilitation, orientation/onboarding best practices, and/or general learning & development best practices and trends
  • Have a strong understand of Learning Management Systems and how to use them strategically
  • Thrives in a fast paced environment; works with urgency
  • Passion for the growth and development of others
  • Highly organized and effective at managing timelines, delivery, and communication across teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and team building skills, but also able to work autonomously
  • Able to independently manage competing priorities and support team in prioritizing
  • Self-motivated and determined
  • Demonstrates a relentless customer focus as it relates to program participants and talent stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Google Suite
  • Aptitude to upskill quickly on new platforms and processes
