The Messaging Data Science and Engineering team aims to drive our Data Science, Analytics, and Data Engineering strategies for our messaging domain (off-service communications to our existing member base). In many ways, this space functions as a “mini Netflix”; it is a highly cross-functional team that sits at the intersection of our content, product, and algos domains. A strong messaging strategy is essential to ensure we meet both our member and business needs, whether that involves ensuring our members are aware of the content available to them or ensuring new business lines (Live, Games) are effectively supported.

Lead a team of mixed technical roles (Data Scientists, Analytics Engineers, and Data Engineers).
Drive the vision and roadmap for the team, balancing the needs of multiple business. stakeholders while ensuring we maximize impact on the business.
Be a strategic thought partner to shape the strategy of the broader Messaging domain; This is not a “sit back and let people tell you what to do” role.
Drive a culture of innovation through collaboration with other leaders in the broader Data Science and Engineering space.
Embody Netflix values in daily work and interactions.

Masters or PhD in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field preferred.
Inclusion is a Netflix value and we strive to host a meaningful interview experience for all candidates. If you want an accommodation/adjustment for a disability or any other reason during the hiring process, please send a request to your recruiting partner.
