Job summary The Manager of ITS Capability assumes a key role in growing CDW's business by managing, implementing, and evaluating best-in-class organizational and learning development strategies. These strategies are critical in addressing the technology solutions industry challenges and the needs of a highly talented, geographically dispersed workforce. What you'll do
* Partner with the ITS teams to develop and effectively implement state-of-the art programs and services
* Lead the ITS Capability team to deliver complex learning programs for Associate Consulting Engineers, Solution Architects, or other technical roles as necessary, in collaboration with appropriate stakeholders
* Manage a team including effective remote management, performance management, coaching and development
* Align and integrate talent management initiatives with company strategies
* Drive processes to provide delightful training experience to learners
* Lead process improvement and productivity efforts in area of responsibility
* Analyze and interpret business data/trends impacting performance including program evaluation, talent data, assessments, evaluations, engagement and business performance. Present insights as support for solutions recommendations
* Work with stakeholders to assess skill and performance gaps in meeting business objectives and design learning solutions to address gaps
* Design, develop, and maintain small- and large-scale custom programs integrating technical content, industry certifications and consulting skills to drive organizational effectiveness
* Work with stakeholders, propose and agree on project goals, approach, resources & responsibilities, interdependencies, timing, and success measures
* Develop work plans and manage projects to meet agreed milestones. Communicate progress, solicit and incorporate feedback, and ensure alignment for successful delivery. Routinely interfaces with senior management in understanding business goals and to generate buy-in for initiatives / programs
* Manager, ITS Capability up to 25% travel. (For Illinois based positions, must be flexible to work in the Chicago and Lincolnshire offices as business dictates) What we expect of you Minimum basic requirements
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and 5 years' experience in a Human Resources, Training, Technical Solutions Architect or Services Delivery function with at least 4 years in Learning & Development/Instructional Design OR
* 9 years' experience in a Human Resources, Training, Technical Solutions Architect or Services Delivery function with at least 8 years in Learning & Development/Instructional Design Preferred skills, experience and qualities needed
* Working experience designing, developing and implementing new programs to meet business goals
* Demonstrated ability to apply instructional design principles to convey technical concepts
* Excellent project manager. Driven to meet deadlines. Track record of balancing multiple priorities simultaneously with the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business
* Calm under pressure and resilient when faced with change in direction or challenges
* Strong strategy and execution skills with the ability to creatively problem solve
* Ability to understand complex problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions
* Demonstrated ability to influence and gain support from stakeholders
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with all stakeholders including senior leadership
* Understanding of a B2B environment
* Demonstrated ability to coach and develop others
