About the Role:
The Innovation Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the VP of Innovation within Curaleaf’s marketing department. This position is responsible for coordinating all key innovation projects, working cross-functionally with Brand, Insights, R&D, Operations, and Planning teams to deliver a compelling, consumer-focused product roadmap and maintain a balanced brand portfolio—ensuring Curaleaf remains at the forefront of cannabis innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Support the VP of Innovation in developing and executing innovation strategies and roadmap planning.
- Serve as Project Manager of all innovation project and select product development activities across diverse teams to ensure timely and successful project delivery via critical path timeline management.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration between R&D, marketing, sales, operations, and regulatory teams to drive innovation initiatives.
- Work with the Insights department to develop concepts and gather, analyze, and synthesize primary and secondary consumer insights and market research to inform product development and brand positioning.
- Conduct in-depth desirability, viability, and feasibility assessments to vet and prioritize innovation and renovation opportunities.
- Partner with external vendors to support critical product initiatives across ingredients, equipment, hardware, and packaging.
- Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for new product concepts and enhancements.
- Prepare and present regular updates on project status, innovation pipeline, and consumer insights to senior leadership.
What You’ll Bring:
- 3-5 years of experience in innovation management, product development, or related roles, ideally within cannabis, food, or consumer goods sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with experience coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Excellent analytical abilities for interpreting consumer data and market research.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for managing internal and external partnerships.
- Passion for cannabis innovation and a deep understanding of industry dynamics.
- Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently with moderate supervision.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Subject to background check per state cannabis regulations.
