In this function, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and addressing unauthorized use of Forbes media content and logos as discovered online or on other physical or digital marketing platforms. You will work with internal and external partners to discover and document uses of Forbes content that may not be properly licensed, and engage with the users to either monetize the content or see that the use is discontinued.
Responsibilities
- Use Image Recognition Software tools in addition to your manual search efforts, monitor online platforms, social media, and websites for unauthorized use of company media content and logos.
- Conduct thorough investigations to determine the source and extent of infringements.
- Prepare detailed reports on identified infringements, including evidence and recommended actions.
- Collaborate with sales to monetize, or failing that, collaborate with legal counsel to issue cease and desist letters and pursue legal remedies as necessary.
- Maintain a comprehensive database of all infringement cases and their resolution.
- Follow up on all infringements through to resolution.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in intellectual property protection.
The ideal candidate
- Familiarity with media industry content licensing business
- Keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills.
- Experience preparing detailed reports, including evidence and recommended actions for Licensing Violations.
- Proficiency in monitoring online platforms, social media, and websites for unauthorized content use.
- Experience with image search recognition tools for content monitoring.
- Experience using Salesforce a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate with sales for monetization opportunities.
- Experience collaborating with legal counsel for cease and desist letters and legal remedies.
- Skill in maintaining comprehensive databases of infringement cases.
- Commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in intellectual property protection.
- Skilled in managing client requests and interactions.
- Proficiency in monitoring website performance, analyzing sales data, and identifying areas for improvement.
The annual base salary range for this role is $80,000 - $85,000
Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith. The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate. In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
