Essential job functions:
- Manages a comprehensive controlled substance compliance program for the Ahold Delhaize USA pharmacy Brands
- Maintains and develops new written standard operating procedures related to controlled substance compliance and diversion monitoring
- Monitors legislative and regulatory changes related to controlled substances to ensure ongoing compliance, and provides content expertise around the complex state and federal controlled substance regulations
- Manages a controlled substance monitoring & audit program using data analytics to identify trends and anomalies in support of ongoing due diligence processes
- Conducts comprehensive due diligence reviews of prescribers and Brand pharmacies
- Collaborates with internal stakeholders (Pharmacy Ops, Legal and Compliance) on issues related to controlled substances
- Collaborates with Brand Pharmacy Operations on loss of controlled substance investigations and reporting
- Manages processes to conduct proactive controlled substance compliance reviews at Brand pharmacy locations
- Creates and maintains reporting on the company's controlled substance compliance and monitoring efforts
- Maintains electronic training provided to all pharmacy associates on controlled substance standard operating procedures
- Manages processes to review and investigate orders of controlled substances designated as suspicious and to coordinate wholesaler site visits and reviews.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or PharmD degree
- Knowledge of controlled substance compliance and diversion control programs
- 10+ years pharmacy practice or operations management experience
- Ability to work independently, self-manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with multiple levels within the organization
- Strong writing and documentation skills with attention to detail and ability to clearly communicate complex information
- Ability to make logic-based decisions leveraging data and information from a variety of sources
- Sound judgment and confidence in navigating complex discussions while maintaining a professional and collaborative approach
- Demonstrated experience in data analysis, including proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms.
Salary Range: $125,200 - $187,800
