Primary Purpose:
The Value Realization Finance Manager, supporting transformation programs, is responsible for leading the financial value agenda and ensuring the program delivers measurable, sustainable business outcomes across merchandising, supply chain, store operations, and data domains. This position provides financial rigor, governance, and insight to the development, refinement, and tracking of the program value case, translating operational changes into credible financial impact and decision support.
This role partners closely with the System Integrator's Value Lead, Investment Analysis, project accounting, and FP&A teams across ADUSA and the Local Brands to align business case assumptions, operating costs, benefits, and timing within enterprise financial processes. Through value governance, forecasting integration, and finance-led performance tracking, the role helps ensure transformation decisions remain anchored in enterprise priorities, financial commitments, and realized business value.
*Our flexible/hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-office days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, and Quincy, MA.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead the finance value agenda by developing, maintaining, and governing the integrated business case, ensuring assumptions, value drivers, KPIs, and timing align with program design, enterprise priorities, and finance standards.
  • Partner with the System Integrator's Value Lead and cross-functional business teams to identify, validate, and quantify value opportunities, translating operational changes and performance metrics into credible financial impact and decision support.
  • Establish and maintain finance-owned value baselines, benefit methodologies, measurement approaches, and data requirements to support consistent, transparent, and auditable tracking of program value across brands and functions.
  • Own end-to-end benefits realization tracking, including actuals collection, variance analysis, gap-to-target identification, and mitigation planning, to improve accountability and support delivery of committed business outcomes.
  • Provide reporting, dashboards, executive narratives, and scenario analysis that inform transformation governance, investment decisions, prioritization, and actions needed to protect or improve value realization.
  • Partner with Investment Analysis, project accounting, and FP&A teams to ensure program costs, benefits, forecasts, and value assumptions are accurately reflected in investment proposals, approvals, budgets, and financial plans.
  • Support value realization through deployment and into ongoing operations by identifying risks, challenging assumptions, and helping transition benefit tracking and accountability into regular finance and business performance processes.
  • Additional duties may be assigned as needed to meet business needs
  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or related discipline)
  • 8+ years of experience in value realization, strategy, financial analysis, operational excellence, or business transformation roles
  • Experience building and managing business cases, benefit models, and KPI frameworks for enterprise transformations
  • Experience supporting investment proposal cycles or capital approval processes
  • • Strong analytical capability, including ability to connect operational KPIs to financial outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience influencing across business and technology teams
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and executive - ready storytelling capabilities
  • Experience partnering with System Integrators on value modeling and business - case refinement
  • Familiarity with large-scale ERP transformations (preferably SAP S/4 in retail context)
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (MBA, MSF, MS Analytics)
  • Retail or grocery industry experience with KPIs related to shrink, inventory, replenishment, supply chain, and promotions
  • Experience with process diagnostics or value identification frameworks

Salary Range NC: $108,880 - $163,320
Salary Range MA: $125,200 - $187,800
