Job Description:

THE ROLE:

Entegris is seeking a Human Centered Design Team Leader to join our team. Ideally, this position will be based at our site in Billerica, MA, but there is some flexibility regarding location for the right candidate. The Human-Centered Design (HCD) Team Leader is responsible for driving the adoption of design principles that prioritize user needs and experiences throughout the organization. This leader guides cross-functional teams to develop innovative, effective, and user-friendly solutions that align with business goals while championing empathy, creativity, and user-centricity.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Human-Centered Design Strategy:  

  • Define and implement HCD methodologies, frameworks, and best practices. 
  • Partner with stakeholders to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation. 

  • Translate user insights into actionable design strategies that align with business  

  • Design Execution and Quality Assurance:

  • Oversee the end-to-end design process, from discovery to delivery. 

  • Ensure all solutions are accessible, inclusive, and meet usability standards. 

  • Review and provide constructive feedback on design deliverables to maintain high-quality UX outputs. 

  • Research and Insights:

  • Champion user research efforts, utilizing qualitative and quantitative methods to inform design decisions. 

  • Analyze feedback and usage data to continuously improve products, services, and processes. 

  • Present insights and findings to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner. 

  • Advocacy and Culture Building:

  • Advocate for human-centered design principles across the organization. 

  • Drive cultural change to embed empathy and user focus in decision-making processes. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging tools to maintain a forward-thinking approach. Define and implement HCD methodologies, frameworks, and best practices. 

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation. 

  • Translate user insights into actionable design strategies that align with business  

WHAT WE SEEK:

  •  Minimum of 8 years experience driving Human Centered Design principles in a digital environment in manufacturing or other process driven field 

  •  Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time for project execution needs and up to 20% of the time on average

  •  Undergraduate degree in applicable field, computer science, business - information technology  

  • An eye for continuous improvement and the ability to manage change and evangelize the value of HCD systems across all levels of the organization

OUTSTANDING CANDIDATES WILL HAVE:

  •  Proven track record of developing human centered design solutions 

  •  Experience assisting companies in digital transformation and developing competence in HCD 

  •  Hands-on leadership style and a sense of urgency to assist stakeholders 

  • Experience working with a diverse population within a manufacturing and/or cleanroome nvironment.

  • ERP and/or MES experience, ideally with Oracle or SAP

  • Compensation: $122,000-$153,000 a year range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role
