Job Title: Manager, Global Consumer Insights
Reports to:  Director, Global Consumer Insights & Strategy
Location:  Goleta, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Remote

The Role

The Deckers Global Consumer Insights team provides a holistic understanding of the consumer—their needs, attitudes, and behaviors. We build broad and deep understanding of our consumers across the globe, and we enable our brands to consistently surprise and delight through superior product and brand relationships by putting the consumer at the start of everything we do.

We are looking for a consumer insights professional who is passionate about uncovering the “why” behind consumer behavior and marketplace dynamics.  This is a highly visible role that will lead a variety of custom consumer research efforts across a range of departments to impact product creation, marketing, marketplace and brand strategy for UGG.  Led by empathy and curiosity, our ideal Manager continuously strives to elevate the broader Global Consumer Insights team in service of our consumers.

Your Impact
The primary functions of this role, include but are not limited to:

  • Championing the consumer and anticipate consumer research needs throughout the go-to-market process
  • Partnering across a variety of key stakeholders to bring priority initiatives to life
  • Leading a variety of quantitative and qualitative research projects, including questionnaire design, data analysis, and focus group management
  • Managing multiple external clients and research suppliers to develop robust approaches that solve complex business questions
  • Ensuring that all outputs are actionable, grounded in consumer knowledge, and guided by a broader understanding of business context and strategic initiatives

We’d love to hear from people with

  • 5+ years of consumer insights/market research experience with global initiatives either at a research firm or a client-side consumer research function
  • Experience working in or with product creation, merchandising, marketing or marketplace (DTC/wholesale)
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and all management levels in a global matrix, multi-channel, multi-category environment
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and adjust in a dynamic, fast-changing environment while driving results and maintaining a high level of accountability
  • Direct experience managing multiple projects, timelines and deliverables with impeccable attention to detail
  • Demonstrated expertise in relevant consumer products or services, including footwear, apparel, fashion, and lifestyle categories, including wholesale, distributor, e-commerce, and DTC retail distribution

$115,000 - $120,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in our Goleta, CA location. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your preferred location during the hiring process.
