  • Drive initiatives to combat threats like account takeovers (ATO), synthetic identity fraud, and promo abuse.
  • Evaluate and help optimize the effectiveness of fraud tools (e.g. Verifi, CyberSource, Accertify) and support the development of internal risk models.
  • Contribute to fraud policy documentation, cross-functional training, and internal education efforts.
What you have:
  • 5+ years of experience in payments fraud prevention, fraud strategy, or risk analytics in a digital B2C environment.
  • Working knowledge of common fraud tactics in Card Not Present payments, alternative payments, etc…
  • Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in SQL, Excel, and familiarity with Python, R, or BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau).
  • Solid understanding of fraud detection systems and third-party vendors used in fraud mitigation.
  • Experience analyzing fraud KPIs and developing reporting for technical and executive audiences.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving across departments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Data Science, Economics, Finance). Fraud or AML certifications are a plus.
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and think strategically about fraud risks.
Where you’ll live:
  • While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates. #LI-Remote

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
