The Position:
We are looking for a FP&A Manager to join our growing FP&A team. This is a unique opportunity to play a crucial role in building the financial foundation during a pivotal time for Veracyte. Reporting to the Sr. FP&A Manager, this position will support corporate finance activities and partner closely with teams across the organization to provide strategic financial support. We are seeking a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and seeks to establish structure in ambiguity. This is a high-impact, executive-facing role that requires someone who is a strong leader, communicator, and strategic thinker.
Location: We are open to US remote with the ideal candidate based in our San Diego office (hybrid).
- Embed yourself within business teams, quickly building trust and an understanding of their plans to establish yourself as a key thought partner.
- Partner with cross-functional teams including Legal, Human Resources, PMO and Information Technology to coordinate and develop the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range plans for OPEX, capital spend and headcount.
- Own, build, and refine financial models within our FP&A system—be the expert.
- Prepare weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting dashboards to track key financial and performance metrics.
- Perform budget versus actual analysis at the consolidated, project, and department levels to identify and understand variances, assess associated risks and opportunities, and communicate results.
- Support special projects as needed. Provide financial assessments and guidance for strategic projects and business cases.
- Help develop presentations for senior management with clear and concise objectives, analyses, and recommendations.
- Collaborate closely with peers in Accounting to drive achievement of functional goals and corporate reporting.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field.
- CPA, CFA, and/or MBA a plus, but not required.
- 5+ years of experience in a related role with increasing responsibility.
- Experience in a commercial-stage medical diagnostics/devices organization is a plus. Experience at a public and/or high-growth company preferred.
- Systems experience, preferably with Netsuite ERP and/or NetSuite Planning and Budgeting. Modeling experience within a FP&A system/tool preferred.
- Expert at Excel and Powerpoint.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP
- Ability to establish strong business relationships, interact cross-functionally and at all levels, and influence others.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work effectively to identify issues, gather relevant data points, and recommend solutions.
- Strong verbal and written communicator capable of explaining/presenting complex financial concepts and problems clearly and effectively to all constituents, including executive leadership.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and business acumen; experienced in developing financial models, leading analysis, and explaining options and implications.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of working under pressure, prioritizing workload to meet deadlines, operating independently with minimal guidance, and exercising extreme ownership for projects and results.
- Strong team player; able to integrate and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and matrixed environment.

The final salary offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type and length of experience within the industry, education, etc. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units. Veracyte is a multi-state employer, and this salary range may not reflect positions that work in other states.

$125,000—$140,000 USD
