Our Team

The HashiCorp Platform Infrastructure team is responsible for providing hosted environments that meet the security and compliance needs of the cloud products. We make use of cloud providers and our own HashiCorp products to build our internal platform, creating tight feedback loops with the product development teams. Our focus is to provide opinionated and easy infrastructure offerings that scale through the use of systems and software. 

This team will involve a product-mindset applied to infrastructure, bringing software engineering, infrastructure engineering, and SRE practices together. This team will partner closely with product management, security, and compliance teams to apply controls and productivity, SRE, and application teams to enable rapid development.

This engineering management role will lead a high-impact team of talented engineers. The ideal candidate will be passionate about operational maturity and developing software systems to orchestrate managing a multi-cloud environment. Using a depth of management experience, this role invests in career development, leveraging the strengths of the individuals on the team and is proud to support their growth. The challenges this team faces are the same ones HashiCorp products are intended to solve, and this role facilitates a tight feedback loop with product development teams. Applicants would be comfortable playing a mix of roles, including management and coaching, product guidance and support, partnering with other engineering teams, and technical vision and guidance.

You can expect to:

Be responsible for driving maturity throughout the delivery and operations of managed infrastructure

Balance technical depth and people leadership, helping unblock the team while advocating for sustainable practices

Apply product and customer-centric practices to managed infrastructure

Deliver operational excellence as a feature

Provide insights on infrastructure resource consumption and participate in cost-management efforts

Support career growth and development for engineers on the team

Build successful partnerships with various leaders and functions across HashiCorp

You may be a good fit if...

  • You have a minimum of 2 years people management experience
  • You have experience with Infrastructure or Platform or Cloud with Cloud Infrastructure experience being highly preferred
  • You lead with empathy and compassion with a focus on career development
  • You have successfully lead remote teams 
  • You have experience leading SW development teams or have prior PM experience

The ideal candidate will have…

    • A product-minded approach to delivering infrastructure and platforms
    • Has solid experience working/leading teams that work with AWS, Azure or GCP
    • Is passionate about automation; creating leverage through software development
    • Has successfully created operational improvements to complex infrastructure/software
    • Experience managing the full employee lifecycle
    • You have led teams that delivered infrastructure/software at scale

Individual pay within the range will be determined based on job related-factors such as skills, experience, and education or training.

The base pay range for this role in the SF Bay Area / NYC area is:
$195,500$230,000 USD
The base pay range for this role in California (excluding SF Bay Area), New York (excluding NYC), Seattle Metro, Denver / Boulder Metro, Washington D.C., or Maryland is:
$179,200$210,800 USD
The base pay range for this role in Colorado (excluding Denver / Boulder Metro), Illinois, Minnesota, or Washington (excluding Seattle Metro) is:
$162,900$191,650 USD
