The User Experience Content team contributes to Fidelity.com, NetBenefits.com, our flagship mobile app, and other platforms that help customers access and manage workplace benefits. These are among the most heavily trafficked financial services websites and mobile applications in the world. The team’s strength lies in its ability to view the experience holistically—connecting customers with the right Fidelity products and services through clear, intentional content..

About the role

As a UX Writer for our Brokerage products, you’ll play a critical role in shaping customer experiences across Fidelity’s digital ecosystem. You’ll help novice investors understand the fundamentals while supporting advanced traders as they navigate more complex financial topics—translating complexity into clear, effective content.

You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing partners to create web pages on Fidelity.com that guide customers to the right solutions. You’ll also partner with Product and Design teams to introduce new features within our crypto offerings, clearly communicating the value of concepts such as diversification across the blockchain and staking.

In this role, you’ll craft clear, compelling interface copy for end-to-end user flows, in-context education, and personalized messaging that spans the customer journey.

You’re passionate about language, thrive in close partnership with customer experience designers, and enjoy guiding work from concept to launch. You use data and analytics to test, iterate, and continuously improve content effectiveness.

The expertise and skill you bring

  • 3–5 years of professional writing experience in UX writing, copywriting, or technical writing within financial services or a related field.

Your portfolio includes examples across mobile apps and web experiences, ideally spanning financial services and other consumer-facing industries (e.g., retail)

  • A versatile writer who can tailor messaging for diverse audiences—from individuals just getting started with investing to advanced traders seeking deeper insights

  • A clear communicator who can break down complex financial topics into conversational, approachable language

  • A curious collaborator who asks thoughtful questions and works effectively with business partners, legal teams, and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Experience creating personalized content across mobile and web platforms

The base salary range for this position is $74,000-141,000 USD per year.

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.

We offer a wide range of benefits to meet your evolving needs and help you live your best life at work and at home.  These benefits include comprehensive health care coverage and emotional well-being support, market-leading retirement, generous paid time off and parental leave, charitable giving employee match program, and educational assistance including student loan repayment, tuition reimbursement, and learning resources to develop your career.  Note, the application window closes when the position is filled or unposted.

Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
