Duties and Responsibilities
- Mentor and Grow Talent: Lead, coach, and develop a team of software engineers (Mobile/Web/Backend), fostering a collaborative, high-trust, and inclusive culture.
- Performance & Career Development: Conduct regular 1 on 1s, performance reviews, and define career growth paths
- Hiring: Drive recruitment efforts to build a world-class team, identifying high-potential talent
- Lead the development and evolution of GraphQL and REST API services, including schema design, versioning strategies, gateways/federation
- Ensure high-quality mobile/web apps: modular architecture, testability, offline-aware UX, network resilience, feature flags, and progressive rollouts.
- Champion robust testing: unit, contract, integration, E2E, and performance testing.
- Utilize and implement Agentic AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, custom IDE agents) to accelerate coding, debugging, and testing, boosting developer velocity.
- CI/CD & Automation: Oversee the implementation of robust CI/CD practices to ensure safe, scalable, and compliant deployment of AI models into production.
- Collaborate with SRE and Operation teams on incident response/on-call rotations, and service readiness runbooks.
- Build comprehensive observability (metrics, logs, traces) with proper severity level and domain dashboards
- Act as the primary liaison between Engineering, Product, Experience Design, Data, and Operations to prioritize backlog and align on business goals and outcomes
- Define and drive engineering process enhancements to deliver fast with aligned quality, priority, timeline and scalability
- 8+ years in software engineering including 3+ years managing engineering teams building customer-facing products at scale
- Bachelor's degree in computer science
- Coach engineers for best development practices and conduct PR review
- Lead design/architecture reviews
- Coordinate with product and program management for roadmaps, OKRs, and cross-team dependencies
- Deep expertise in Agile/Scrum/Kanban methodologies and tools (Jira, GitHub).
- Experienced with implementation and support of an enterprise level Content Management System
- Champion of best practices when integrating with analytics platforms such as GA4 and Adobe Analytics
- Experienced in delivering a combination of mobile, web, and backend systems in production.
- Proven track record improving reliability, observability, and operational excellence
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD, automated testing, and quality engineering best practices.

- Familiarity with GraphQL federation, API gateways, and schema governance.

- Experience with agentic AI systems and MCP-based tool integrations is a big plus
