Where we Work
Udemy is a global company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional U.S. offices in Denver and Austin, and international hubs in Australia, India, Ireland, Mexico, and Türkiye. This is an in-office position, requiring three days a week in the office (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) and flexibility on Mondays and Fridays.

About this role
The Manager, Deal Desk is responsible for leading the global Deal Desk team, supporting the sales organization with strategic deal structuring, quote-to-cash execution, and process governance. This role balances people leadership with operational oversight and serves as a key liaison between Sales, Legal, Finance, RevOps, and Order Management. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in SaaS business models, order management processes, and revenue compliance, and excels at enabling scalable, compliant, and efficient deal operations in a high-growth environment.
What you’ll be doing
Lead a global team – Build, coach, and inspire a high-performing Deal Desk team that supports sales across multiple regions and segments.
Shape deal strategy – Partner with Sales leadership and serve as the go-to expert for complex or non-standard deals, helping structure smart, executable agreements.
Ensure compliance and consistency – Drive deal quality by applying booking policies, revenue recognition standards (ASC 606), and Rules of Engagement.
Deliver insights that matter – Track and report on deal volume, cycle times, discounts, and compliance health to provide leadership with actionable insights.
Plan for growth – Forecast demand, align resources with sales priorities, and help the business scale efficiently.
Improve processes and tools – Continuously refine quote-to-cash workflows and partner on Salesforce/CPQ enhancements to enable speed, compliance, and scale.
What you’ll have
6+ years of experience in SaaS or B2B technology companies, with at least 3 years in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations roles.
2+ years of people management experience, including hiring, mentoring, and performance management.
Deep knowledge of quote-to-cash workflows, Order Management processes, and their related compliance and audit requirements.
Strong understanding of SaaS deal structures, commercial terms, discounting governance, and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606).
Proven ability to drive operational improvement, forecast resourcing needs, and deliver actionable business insights from KPIs.
Proficient in Salesforce, CPQ tools (e.g., Salesforce CPQ), Excel/Sheets, and reporting platforms.
Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels.
