Role and Scope of Position:
Responsible for driving and integrating a culture of inclusion and engagement into all talent initiatives to achieve Eversource business objectives for the future, specifically in the areas of recruitment, retention, and succession. Assist Leadership in building a more inclusive culture by partnering with Human Resources (HR) teams, guiding and collaborating with Officers on engagement activities and managing Business Resource Groups (BRGs). Network with external and community and workforce development organizations to deliver best practices and build the best and brightest workforce that reflects the communities we serve.

Essential Functions: 

  • Leads the development and implementation of our culture and engagement strategy. Supports corporate values and strategic objectives in partnership with Officers and line management.
  • Plans, designs and leads the implementation of enterprise-wide BRG and engagement initiatives.
  • Consults with internal business leaders, executive sponsors, BRGs, and HR colleagues on the development and implementation of appropriate engagement action/change plans that will support and advance Eversource overall business objectives.
  • Leads the relationship, development and implementation of both internal and external workforce development workforce groups, committees and councils.
  • Continuously benchmarks engagement and inclusion best practices to ensure effective, efficient processes and assists in positioning Eversource as a recognized Employer of Choice in the industry and community.
  • Develops and facilitates engagement and inclusions workshops, meetings and learnings as appropriate.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill: 

  • Requires extensive knowledge of engagement programs and BRG management and collaborating with all organizational levels.
  • Requires proven project management skills including planning, organizing, developing and implementing comprehensive organizational engagement programs and leading cross-functional project teams.
  • Requires excellent verbal, written, presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to use PC desktop applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for analysis and reporting

Education:     

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, related disciplines or equivalent experience
  • MBA or advanced degree preferred.   

Experience:    

  • Minimum of ten (10) or more years of experience performing duties which include planning and driving strategic change in support of business goals; engagement strategy development; organization development; external workforce relationship development and ownership; project management and facilitation, as well as experience working with senior leaders.               

Licenses & Certifications:  

  • None

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
  • Must be able to work occasional nights and weekends for culture and outreach events and activities.
  • Although we have a 3-day a week in office flexible work policy, employees may be asked to on-site 5 days a week, as needed.

  • Work includes analyzing, evaluating, documenting, consulting, coordinating; prioritizing, organizing, implementing and presenting. 
  • This role works in an environment that often requires the performance of multiple simultaneous activities, where deadlines need to be met and work is performed under pressure while involving significant business commitments and results.

Compensation and Benefits:

Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. Check out our careers site for an overview of our benefits programs. Salary is commensurate with your experience. This position is eligible for a potential incentive. The annual salary range for this position is:

$144,600.00-$160,670.00

Responding to emergency situations to meet customers’ needs is part of every employee’s role. If employed, you will be given an Emergency Restoration assignment.  This means you may be called to assist during an emergency outside of your normal responsibilities, work hours and location.
