Position Summary:
To be successful in this role, the Manager, Creative Operations must be an excellent collaborator, self-starter, well-organized and detailed operations and traffic manager, intuitively translating needs into actionable creative considerations. This is a hands-on organizational and administrative role, owning various high-impact functions within the department. With a keen understanding of the unique operational nuances of creative teams, this person should know how to manage scalable project management systems and workflow streams, and thrive on fostering positive, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders. Attention to detail, collaborative mentality, project management skills, and passion for design and technology will be integral.
ResponsibilitiesPrimary Responsibilities:
Workflow Management: Manage multiple-fluid projects simultaneously and direct the day-to-day workflow of creative, account, and production teams, keeping track of granular details and ensuring projects move efficiently through all production phases. Provide overall strategic governance for projects by establishing standards, processes, and tools used for effective project delivery
Scheduling and Deadlines: Develop comprehensive project timelines, milestones, and daily to-do lists, constantly tracking progress to prevent missed deadlines. Proactively problem-solve to navigate schedule shifts, scope changes, and unexpected roadblocks
Resource Allocation: Monitor the bandwidth and availability of designers, copywriters, and developers to avoid team burnout or overbooking. Contribute to annual planning, representing the team’s capacity and constraints. Efficiently source creative freelancers for work overflow
Meeting Facilitation: Lead regular status meetings (e.g. daily stand-ups or weekly check-ins) to align teams and share project updates
Liaison & Communication: Serve as the central communication hub between account managers, project managers, and creative staff to clarify requirements and solve bottlenecks. Demonstrates strong diplomacy to manage competing demands from different department leads
Maintain and ensure adherence by all to all core standard operating procedures
Support and maintain processes and systems that lead to client and agency success
Stay current and relevant on project, traffic, and resource management best practices
Develop KPIs and prepare reports to measure progress and performance

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
To fulfill this role successfully, the individual should possess the following qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience:
- Three-five (3-5) years in creative operations and/or traffic management role with an in-depth understanding of the end-to-end creative and production processes.
- Three-five (3-5) years with direct experience handling project scheduling, resource allocation, and team collaboration.
- Experience in project management, encompassing small-scale projects to multi-tiered campaign projects involving multiple stakeholders and components
- Experience working within a fast-paced agency (marketing/advertising) or a corporate creative services team.
- Demonstrated expertise with project management software (preferably Workfront), digital analytics, and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- A strong creative eye and the ability to be a brand steward
- Strong presentation skills and ability to influence stakeholders
- Bachelor's degree
