About This Role
Biogen’s Corporate Affairs department is seeking a Manager, Corporate Brand Design to join our team. This individual will be responsible for designing digital and video content that includes brand campaigns, social media graphics and video projects. We’re looking for someone with a great creative eye, enthusiasm for visual storytelling and an understanding of strategic corporate communications who can thrive in a dynamic corporate environment. An understanding of working with corporate visual identity requirements would be an asset for anyone applying for this role.
What You'll Do
Develop visual content for social media and advertising
- Design and produce digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or Figma, with a focus on social media visuals
- Lead design of quotation cards, announcements, and high-impact posts around milestones for social media
- Is a champion of the Biogen visual identity, trains and counsels colleagues on its usage
- Execute digital design across brand marketing, website landing pages, and social media
- Create compelling content for digital signage and graphics
- Help maintain Corporate Brand Resource site and assets, ensuring materials are aligned with brand guidelines
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure cohesive visual storytelling
Design complex animated graphics
- Use digital media equipment and editing software with an understanding of how animations can help tell a story
Develop video content
- Shoot, edit and produce engaging videos optimized for various platforms (YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, website, etc.)
- Catalogue and maintain digital assets, assist in management of video studio
- Execute post-production tasks, including reviewing footage, assembling rough cuts, editing, color grading, audio adjustments, and final exporting
- Work with external agencies and freelancers to maintain brand consistency and elevate storytelling
Required Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, marketing, journalism, or relevant field
- 5+ years experience in digital content, graphic design or video production roles
- Strong background in social media and design; portfolio should highlight visually driven campaigns and assets
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and Figma
- Excellent storytelling and writing ability, with experience translating scientific topics into accessible content
- Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Ability to recognize story potential and independently develop video assets
- Understanding of corporate visual identity “brand books” and how to apply them to visual work
- Organized and demonstrates the ability to prioritize projects simultaneously
- This role may require periodic travel for offsite video production (15%)
- Ability to lift 25 pounds.
Preferred Skills
- Experience using video cameras and with lighting techniques
- Experience with photography
- Work experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare environment
Additional Information
Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.
